I hate limited time transmog options

Oh I’m sorry, let me just build a time machine and travel back in time to unlock those. My bad for not spending my entire life continuously playing World of Warcraft and taking breaks sometimes.

Honestly it’s just so demoralizing, you’re looking at these items and there’s literally no possible way to get them regardless of how much time and effort you’re willing to put in to get them now. And the older this game gets, the more and more items there are like this. I don’t raid or do much high end content anymore and transmog and collecting stuff is literally all I play this game for anymore, and I can never put in enough effort to get something I really want because I wasn’t playing the game at the right time and time travel doesn’t exist.

I also hate holiday only transmog items. Witch hats belong in a fantasy game Blizzard, let us use them outside of Halloween!

Except you don’t need to play your entire life to get elite transmogs if that is what you’re referring to I play maybe three hours a week and I have gotten every single elite transmog since the start of legion and one during the end of wod.

I agree 100% on holiday mogs.

Should be able to transmog the item and keep its appearance till you change it then can’t select it till next time it comes up. Not removed from your mog like it is now.

I’m not saying you have to play your entire life to get them, I’m saying I didn’t play at those times so how am I going to get them now? They aren’t available to get anymore. I’m SOL.

There is nothing wrong with 0.0000001% of mog items being content based.

Its a reward for people that played in that era. I didn’t get the MoP CM mode mogs, because I did not play in MoP. And that is ok.

It’s kinda like Santa hats and Halloween masks in RS… except not as grand a scale. Just kind of a mark of honor for people

It’s a reward for people who played then, and a punishment for people who chose to play the game now but not then. There’s people with all kinds of rare stuff unlocked that don’t play the game at all anymore, and people who started playing the game an expansion or two ago that loyally play the game every single day. Rewarding people for playing at the right time, instead of rewarding people for playing for a long time, or playing for lots of hours, is counter intuitive.

No. Its not a punishment. At all.

You are not being punished. You are just not being rewarded. Huge difference.

My punishment for not playing the game at the right time is never being able to unlock an item I want.

I like my CM gear being exclusive, because it’s a reminder of my achievement and the time I had at the time. I’m sorry if you’ve missed out on things that are unobtainable now, I feel the same about missing certain raid Tier, I’ll never get the feeling of being a part of it.

That’s just not true. Time limited items are created as a means of adding enrichment and value to a portion of content, it would be meaningless if certain items could become obtainable forever, for instance Corrupted Ashbringer would be a joke, everyone would have one, the people who still have it to this day I’m definitely jealous of, but it’s not a means of punishment because I never got one.

You can’t transmog it so frankly I don’t really care about it.

I’m just sad I missed the event for the Horde motorcycle. It looks so cool.

That is not how punishments work.

noun

  1. the infliction or imposition of a penalty as retribution for an offense.

There is no penalty being inflicted upon anyone. Nothing is being removed from you.

Probably the majority of people in this game have at least one item they weren’t around at the right time to get and would like to have the chance to get it again.

The ability to unlock the item was removed.

Realistically you’re just upset for no reason other than jealousy.

No not really. I just want to look pretty in video games.

I guess I’m jealous of them looking pretty? But I don’t really feel that jealous, I’m just more frustrated I can’t make my own character be pretty, too. There’s already so little character customization in this game to begin with.

If you did not play during that time period, it was not removed. Because you never had it.

If you did, then you had the opportunity to get it, and did not do what was needed to complete your reward…which was known it would be content locked.

But it’s there, in the game, and I would like to use it, please. So what can I do to get it?

im still kicking myself for not getting the elite dk set in NH. Literally was 100 points away from 2k because I thought I had an extra week :frowning:

Agreed. And the Challenge Mode appearances are advertised early and stay around for quite a while.

I didn’t get the MoP set either. It makes me sad, because I absolutely love the Druid set, but that’s okay. Nothing wrong with a few limited time ones. It’s not as if everything is limited. Or even most things.

I do agree about holiday stuffs, though, OP.
