The botters are now using layering on the Hardcore servers to protect their bots from detection and griefing. I wish Blizzard would get rid of them if they’re not going to get rid of the bots. I’m happy to do my part if they’d only let me.
It’s been a long-time tinfoil hat conspiracy of mine that Blizzard has their hands in the botting market as well. Otherwise there’s no reason they can’t just have a Game Master hop online and just ‘/who Hunter 60’ then teleport and monitor them for a bit, and give a prompt they have to pass in order to not get Battle.net banned.
RuneScape did it 20 years ago with random events. The only thing left now is to speculate that Blizzard also somehow profits off of botting as well.
