As Babylonius already pointed out, you’re playing semantics. Every dps has a priority, and not pressing the right button in the priority causes a dps loss.
No you’re right. It’s definitely a mental thing, I just feel like the way it’s designed makes it easier to see it negatively than a more natural “combo” mechanic like blackout combo on brew or reset combos on dh.

Yes I definitely am. I just think it’s easier to see it negative when it’s a baseline % dmg increase instead of an active interaction between button presses. With other interactions like I discussed it’s feels more like you’re making something happen I guess.
I think we experience this with the people that keep pushing to make a range MW spec a thing too. Stop trying to change our specs! Disc priests also had to fend off people who were trying to get them to change disc into an aug-style support spec because “then they’d play it.” It’s a very self centered approach to it all…
