I just ran a raid and this staff dropped, in an lfr, I asked if I could have for a major upgrade and this person disenchanted it right there and it was a huge upgrade for me. guess this is what I get for running an lfr. I hate the loot system the way it is now. I have had several things ninja’d I needed for upgrades and they didn’t.
I am sorry. Try running mythics; they are fun, challenging, and have better transmog than Nyalotha. And you will get more shots at loot.
This wasn’t for a tmog, it was for a major upgrade on the weapon.
Thats not a ninja lol. Its called personal loot for a reason and you aren’t entitled to what other people get. They can so whatever they want with their drops.
It’s not your loot unless it’s in your bags. Stop being entitled.
it was a 430 staff, i don’t get world quests with staffs or weapon upgrades.
I’d rather carry you to a normal or key run for free than see you dive into that toxic hellhole.
I’d give you mine if I got one
Good luck on getting a staff (I think a nice one is from capping PvP points - you could get it fairly quickly through Battle for Nazjatar parties + Assaults + PvP chests).
i need to level enchanting just for that, but it’s such an annoying profession.
None of it is ninja’ed. It’s personal loot. They could delete it from their bags or vendor it if they wanted to.
I would DE it before giving it to some LFR peasant too. I don’t do LFR because it is a scary and ultimately pointless place.
It sucks that it happened to you. I saw it in a low level dungeon where someone asked nicely if they could have a weapon for transmog if the person didn’t need it. He said nothing and just disenchanted it.
Having that said, you can easily get a 440 weapon if you do the CTA/conquest stuff. It will only take you a couple of days as it is the first thing that conquest rewards drop. Also the Weapon emissary cache (445 ilvl) will rotate so if you absolutely hate pvp/conquest, just keep an eye out for it when it comes up.
You are not entitled to other people’s loot in lfr. There’s a high chance they didn’t notice, and it’s not their job to inspect everyone in the raid.
Btw your name totally sounds like how i imagine “Honor” comes out of a heavily tusked Orc’s mouth.
I`m just trying to demonstrate some other options that also have other positives. Mythic+ usually drops equal/higher loot than starter raids so that would be another way to get a big upgrade. Good luck!
How was it ninja’d if it was their item they got?
I will let you think about it.
Nah, going to need you to explain how someone got an item from personal loot, that was given to them but some how ninja’d from you.
Just because it is an UG for you doesn’t mean it is yours.
Well that was rude of them.
Like… I’ve disenchanted something else in front of someone to make them THINK for just a moment that I disenchanted it before actually giving it to them.
To actually do it though? Rude.
Lol what…? It is a personal loot system, you’re asking players of today to willing give up there disenchantments for free so that you can have a upgrade? And before anyway says it, no it’s not because of today’s wow it’s because of today’s gaming culture.
I politely ask for upgrades when I need them in LFR all the time. The person leaves 9 out of 10 times (or the item was an upgrade in which case good for them). Them’s the breaks. Disenchanting it in front of you is a jerk move though, usually they just don’t say anything and dip, which I can kind of understand if they don’t feel like explaining themselves.
I didn’t have to pvp more than a couple nights to get a sick 440 haste/mastery wand (primo for affliction) and nothing that well itemized even drops from nzoth or carapace. I’ve actually surpassed LFR with solo activities, I still have some LFR trinkets but it’s pretty much as good as I’m gonna get from there, most of my stuff is 445. If pvp gear in SL is just gear, and not some resilience bs, I may look into it as an alternative/supplemental gearing method.
