I Hate Capes

Does anyone else just hate capes? I actually try to make transmog sets around capes but I always end up hiding them in the final version of the mog.

I hate capes + Robes, but capes or robes are fine.

I would like robes better if my favourite mount wasn’t the Pandaren Phoenix. Robes clip through its butt.

I love capes, cloaks, and shawls! Unless its on a Draenei, their tail physics defy all things natural.

I like them on this gnome; I almost always have a cape in my mog.

Otherwise, the Gnome body is so squat that it doesn’t look great from the back to me.

Same with a tabard, I’ll try to do a tabard mog (like this one) on this Gnome.

I always use a cape if my characters have skimpy pants on. Otherwise, I never use cape graphic at all.

Characters like Rogues, Monks and Warriors shouldn’t use capes; can you imagine how often they’d trip and fall?

I very rarely ever use capes in my mogs. I just don’t really like them.

It would be different though if capes actually looked… cool. Like the one in this BfA concept art.

But no, we’re stuck with what looks like blankets tied too our backs :frowning:

You know what I really really really HATE about capes? It’s not that they are ugly… which they are… I have probably 6 or 8 pages of each slot for transmogging. 6 pages of helms… 7 chest pieces… 6 legs … 8 boots… 19 pages of cloaks that I will never wear!

They always look so bad. Like when you were a little kid and tied a towel around your neck pretending to be a superhero. Hiding the cape is one of the first things I do when I make a new character. Helm too for that matter.

and they 90% of the time look terrible on worgen. :frowning: i could not find one for my mid-level fem-worg that was NOT a short cape (which look awful). the heck is up with that???

would be nice if we had more options instead of capes- such as quivers, backpacks, totems, plaguecanisters, shawls (as mentioned above!)… shoot, how about a fancy array of flowers and vines?

you are not alone haha! I can’t stand capes, I also have them hidden 99% of the time. Sometimes helm, but not always.

Wish there were a way to just hide every robe/dress in my massive xmog library.

Like 350+ cloaks unlocked in my xmog library… of which I might briefly use 5 half-length/tapered/smaller-than-standard versions.

Can’t wait to never have to wear gloves/shoes again. (Sure, I’ve got Grifta’s Authentic Troll Shoes, and always use them, but unlike hiding an item you have to pay the xmog fee)

I’m really tired of wands / daggers. Would vastly prefer staves and spellswords always and forever.

When I was 4 I used to tie a towel around my neck and pretend I had a cape but then it would become a game of chase, with the towel chasing me.

I don’t care about capes really since we can hide them but I remember when we couldn’t and I had to go and get the towel cape because it was basically invisible.
