They need to make unlocking AR’s a storyline, maybe a lengthy fun one… and with the ability to “no-life” it and get it unlocked so you can enjoy your toon.
The time-gating is what I hate about it. Just absolutely turns new players away, even those with a recent max lvl toon.

Not with the required reputation grind it isn’t. It’s not just get to level 110 (120 for new races), it’s also grind the reputation.
The more I think about it, the more I agree. If you bought the expansion, it should just be an introductory quest chain to unlock the allied race.
Honest to God the way I see it is kinda scummy to time gate stuff but it’s not a hard or long grind whatsoever I have all of the horde allied races done and vulps exal already too it takes about an hour of gameplay every day or so to do the bare minimum and u can do extra stuff to make it faster u do feel a real sense of accomplishment when getting them

For anyone who was interested he ended up going to play classic after boosting a priest and started to do dailies to unlock them. But he got bored and quit.
That seems to be the common opinion. grinding for rep is awful even more so in BFA (nazjatar, mechagon) And putting flight/races behind rep is a huge turn off for people.
I mean, you’re a level 10 wolf… so I guess it’s better to be boring than irrelevant.

What gets me is the “work for it” line. You did that in argus. You can run the story, all side quests and be staged to run the raid. Hell you could even find peeps to run the raid if lucky.
The story is done. The goats are free. Should be the end. But nope…WQ spam for rep spam.

Lmao, yeah I worked REAL hard for Void Elves. I worked for it so hard logging in for an hour every day to smash my face on my keyboard as I opened my map and scrolled over the World Quest list. Did the 3 Argussian Reach WQ’s, and then logged off because I was PHYSICALLY incapable of gaining any more rep with them until the next day.
Real hard work.
The Legion AR’s should be unlocked by doing a tiny little quest you can do at level 10 or whatever in the Embassy. Flat out.
Listen rolling over 110 content as a level 120 was very taxing!!

seriously…think about what the reaction would be if they had done this with the other races
races aren’t cosmetics or cool toys, they’re something that if you WANT to use at all you have to reroll for
and then the quest to unlock them
and then you get to reroll or pay blizzard for the privilege of maining it
it’s a terrible system.
they’re forcing you to grind to unlock the ability to reroll so that you can grind…it’s dumb
with crap like the essence system it becomes even worse as trying to main an allied race forces you to fall behind for little real reason
