I had a realization

So: the harmless little tooltip on the loading screen.
“Remember to take all things in moderation (Even World of Warcraft!)”

Seems a bit cliche to point out how WoW kinda just urges you to play more and more to keep up, but…

And your point is…?

It doesn’t really, SL has really capped a lot of things and they like to micromanage your play time so to speak ~

It was written in a time when WoW was a juggernaut, and people literally playing video games to death was an actual thing. I remember being in a huge gaming café in Seoul where they had monitors enforcing maximum playing times.

The old forum had a guy that used to call every one a “pickle weaseling millennial”… I can’t remember his name but he used to crack me up. I’m almost convinced they are one in the same or related. Celebrate is awesome in my opinion.

I guess. It’s just ironic that they keep it in now.

I’d need to find the article, but didn’t someone die from playing Diablo3 for too long?

This will probably be removed in the next hotfix

I took this to heart. I only play on the weekends, time permitting. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Copied from the webs:

Shawn Woolley took his addiction too far in 2002. He quit his job to play EverQuest exclusively, and ignored family invitations to Thanksgiving. Worried, his loved ones went to his home to check on him, where they found Shawn dead in front of his computer, from a self-inflicted shotgun wound. EverQuest was still running, and it’s suspected he took his own life due to a troubled in-game relationship.
