It looks like Blizzard hasn’t hot-fixed ret today, which means that ret will remain in its current state until Tuesday, if they even nerf it then. I was looking forward to playing some shuffles over the weekend but now I probably won’t play considering the current state of the game. Previously I was happy with Blizzard’s management of PvP throughout the expansion, but 10.0.7 is by far the worst patch of the expansion, and the fact that ret hasn’t received any nerfs has made me completely lose faith in Blizzard. It’s sad because last week I was having fun in PvP and I got my legend title. But leave it to Blizzard to destroy their own game with their incompetence.

Agreed, first weekend in a while where I actually have time to play SS. My solution was to just cancel my subscription and play something else. This seems to be just a bad joke from Blizzard and the only way for them to do anything is to stop payments.

There has only been 2 patches?
It hasn’t even been a full week yet. Why should nerfs come in that quickly? We want effective nerfs that don’t over nerf. This is absolutely something Blizzard should take a little time for.

Because if it is not fixed before the weekend, every ret main and twink will be at 2,400 rating after this weekend. They may as well just hand out the rewards for everyone then.

My problem is the ret ego that’s going around. I got a behavior warning so time to not Que anything rated. I didn’t even say anything either that was “bad”. I told the ret he didn’t press sanc or bop not once on me for 2 rounds.

And the issue with that would be what?
Ret has a 60% winrate. It does very high consistent damage, the highest burst in the game, has strong team utility, does damage from 20 yards away, and is tankier than warrior/DK/DH.
In almost any other competitive game this would be hot-fixed the next day. Instead, we get to deal with it for at least a week. Fine-tuning can come next week, they should give ret the enhancement shaman treatment and blanket nerf its damage by 20% until they get more data. Then they can revert the 20% nerf and focus on specific talents/abilities. But as it is, every ret player is climbing hundreds of rating and completely destroying the ladder.

I will point out rets were at the same level as frost mage, around 2.6% in RSS 2.4k+, and now they’re at 6% and rising. They were already good before, just revert the changes completely until they can fix it. Should’ve been done Tuesday, now it’s too late and everyones gone for the season.

Obviously that it defies the meaning of a performance based rating system/associated rewards based on your performance. Why would you not just hand out a the league trophy to everyone in a football league? Because it would be boring and there would be no incentive in getting better at something. This is such a basic concept that I almost feel uncomfortable even having to explain it here. An unfair advantage for a small group has never been good in any competitve event. It is just a game, but so if football, chess, the olympics. Why would you not just give a gold medal to everyone participating in the olympics? Sorry but if they don’t fix it before the weekend they should just consider removing rating in “rated pvp” altogether because it really doesn’t make sense hiding rewards behind meaningless ratings then.

Its not worth it anyways.
The amount of healers thay have been bailing this week (and the previous weeks) is gonna casue queue times to go even higher. Ive been hearing theyre at like 30-45+ minutes now.
What happened to “toning down the damage” and giving healers incentive to play?
The only incentive I have right now is to play other games lol

I just checked a few notorious WoW streamers and they are playing Diablo 4 right now.
If you’re not having fun in WoW you can spend the weekend trying out their other game.
