I guess I'll sit on my paws for a week

Flightstones are capped, with no way to spend them on upgrading gear because Drake crests are capped. No way to get more Drake crests via unloading Whelp crests because whelp crests are capped. So everything I loot just shows me pop-up screens of the items I’m not getting because I’ve already had too much fun for the week.

Can always play an alt, do another activity in the game, or take a break.

Capped on flightstones?

Spend flightstones on BoA gear in Loam.
Send to enchanter.
Disenchant.
Profit.

You can buy rep with the stones, but the returns are kind of abysmal.

I honestly detest Crests but I see they are not going to be going anywhere at the moment. But as to why they went from being a bag Currency with no cap to being in the Currency tab with a cap is beyond me. Only reason I can think of is Blizzard Limiting how fast a person can fully upgrade there gear and with how quickly players have gotten almost full gear now but not fully capped it makes sense to have them Capped.

But the cap which honestly only should effect Raiders and Mythic + players has basically as you put it have to sit on there hands for another week or play an alt just to cap them too it really was a poor choice to make. But them ever reverting this or increasing the cap on both Crests and Flight stones is doubtful. We just have to suffer basically. I am still waiting to see what that Forge they added last patch is goingo to be used for the one near the Artisans area. Figured that would be the new upgrade hub with new currency but guess not.

Having the same issue but with pvp

The cap seems low. I have a pile of alts and although I’ve always raided and run M+ a good amount, it’s super rare for me to cap out on any of the capped things they’ve ever put into the game. Yet here I am running into capped characters… It’s not a problem I’ve dealt with before.

Yeah true I think its just a slowdown implementation just to pad out log in time since they technically only got 1 more patch before the new expansion so they have to drag out 10.2 for maybe 3 months till 10.2.5 and idk how long that will be before Pre Patch and TWW so for now we just have to deal with it.Just hop they learn not to leash players to a Pole let us gear at our own pace and for the love of god remove upgrade ranks on gear which would solve this Currency Bloat this expansion has weighed down with. I am over it.

Woah . . :fish:

It did have a cap though, even before the move to the currency tab.

They have stated that there is much more story and systems content that they want to do before TWW, as well as another fated season, and that they have enjoyed the patch cadence this expansion, so while we won’t get another raid, and no major 10.3 campaign, there will still be a seasonal patch as well as minor story and systems patches, so it seems a large stretch to claim that 10.2.5 is the last patch.
Furthermore in regards to the upgrade system, they have stated that an overwhelming majority of players have enjoyed it and that they are happy with the system, but will be tweaking how fast you can gear, last season you could gear up too fast, it seems (from the little I’ve seen) that the consensus might be that this season is a bit too slow. So the upgrading gear system isn’t going anywhere, just tweaking how fast and how far each tier reaches.

Isn’t there things in the game you enjoy doing though beyond just grinding stones and crests? I mean there’s been patches where a currency like that didn’t even exist but the game still has things to do.

Can always get wyrm crests

I’m not grinding either. I spend my time out in Emerald Dream, the current zone for the latest patch. Did the same with Forbidden Reach and the caves. I have most all of the stuff available from there as far as mounts and druid looks, but I enjoy flying around and helping out with the superblooms and folks planting their seeds.
Just seems arbitrary to gate casual players. I don’t run mythics and just raid LFR to see the show. I’m more casual than wearing flip-flops to Sunday School. I can understand keeping things gated for those who are involved in racing through content to the finish line, just to say they did, and then have nothing to do, but not for players like me. Just remove the cap, lessen the trickle of items looted if you have to, but let me loot what shows on screen.

This is exactly how I ended up with 15 lvl 70s

Crests had a weekly limit last season as well.
