This is exactly why Ret needed the buff. Ret spends a decent chunk of their globals on support spells rather than full zugging like Warrior can.

thats like saying mages or rogues need buffs because they press CC or other peeling abilitys
every spec in this game presses buttons outside dmg

I meant for the team. You have to play almost like a healer/support a lot of time on Ret. Way more than other DPS specs. And you can get kicked on Holy if you try to cast Flash of Light, Rep, Searing Glare. Casting on melee can be rough too.
You don’t have to tell us why. We have all seen how you play, what you trinket and how you don’t use your utility. We could have easily guessed
Pressing a sanc/bop/freedom is hard and you can only tunnel as a ret? Do you have any clue how to actually play?

Ret has much more skill expression is my point. Which is why so many Rets die with bubble and other utility underutilized.
Ret is easy because its support abilities are cheat codes that deny the enemy team win conditions. It’s not necessarily hard to press them. It’s actually really easy considering the amount of value they give you.

I mean for yourself sure, but when you have to babysit the team too, and know exactly the best times to use a BoP for example or when it would be a waste, I think Ret is more skillful than people like to admit.
You were implying ret needed the buff because it also has to “babysit” healers which is false.
Bop when your teammate is about to die. It’s pretty straight forward.

Not just healers, the other DPS on the team too. I have to use Lay on Hands on a dumb teammate all the time when my healer is in CC for example wasting it when I could have used it selfishly on myself.
Yeah then overlap with the healer. It’s not always picture perfect
That’s because they’re rping as a Fury Warrior.
Also more defensives should be on the GCD.

So wait, just because you use a classes utility then it should get buffed? Because god forbid a class with decent utility not be on top of the damage board. They need it all right?
Exactly. Which is the point I’m making. It’s not fair to Ret that they do lower DPS than the top dogs when they are pressing 10 times more utility buttons to play their class with intended skill expression.
Ret was doing poop DPS compared to the top dogs. Windwalker is a MONSTER with a lot of utility too. No reason Ret had to be that low before the buffs.
