sneaks off in stealth with OP’s gold… even though as a Fae I have no use for it and generally have no idea what gold even is…

Let’s head the next post off at the pass. When you’re in a BG and you see “Playername has reported you afk. Please type /afk to undo the report” it’s an emote trying to get you to kick yourself from the BG. There’s an older alt+f4 BG emote too, you’ll want to ignore that as well.

You don’t even have to be on a rogue and people will still freak out over it. :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

How about those BG emotes that told you that you have been reported afk and need you need to type /away to leave afk or be kicked?

never seen it, been in so many bgs, haven’t seen it once

That was because it became a bannable offense.

This was years ago

oh, so uh, i went to FFXIV about a year ago

I am always amazed that someone would fall for that one

Back in the days when the game was full of new players it definitely upset a few people (including me the first time).

I did get some “interesting” responses when I did it.

You also have to watch out for portals people place in BGs, too. I don’t think they allow Mage Portals to be used in BGs anymore, but the Korrak’s Revenge version of AV initially allowed stuff like Mage Portals which were being placed around food and Warlock rocks to troll people into accidentally leaving the BG and getting the Deserter debuff.
