And it’s a great mount, better than many store mounts some of you call better than anything in game. And on the same day I got Hellfire Infernal and Shackled Ur’zul.
From BFA backwards I am now missing DS as the only raid or dungeon I cannot skip, I have every rare in the entire game and most notable mounts people try for like Invincible.
According to Data for Azeroth I have 723 account mounts, with only some vendor mounts, fishing, paragon and world boss mounts left. Now this is not a penile measuring contest, but I did want to point out that I don’t have much instance mounts left to farm because I did want to point out it’s crap.
You could have cut all SL mounts by a factor of four and we would not have missed anything, it’s all duplicates, but yet we sit here with mounts that are years old that some people are still farming, still running entire raids, still spending 30+ minutes for a 1% or lower chance and it’s not right.
Coming from someone who has been there and done that I gotta say, raid and dungeon drops should either all have a skip, mount or not, or increase the drop rate on older items, all items, transmog, pets, toys, mounts, the works.
Congrats! That must have taken real dedication to earn all of those mounts!
Totally agree with this statement. There is many raids out there that have mounts at the very end boss and can take quite some time to clear each week. Especially if you decide to run them on an alt as well.
Such raids that I feel should have a skip are Icecrown Citadel, Siege of Orgrimmar, and Ulduar. Each of those raids take quite some time to clear. So would love to see a skip added for those raids especially.
Yeh it was a good day for mounts (sadly no lottery win) and because I am now down to like a dozen instance mounts only and have every rare mount drop in the game, I think I can say we need skips and no one can really disagree with me because I don’t need it.
Well I’m not a jerk and even though I have done the hard yards I still would like skips or to make things easier for others because it is such a pain, I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.
I appreciate your outlook on that. I mentioned in another thread, while I have tusks from Garrosh. I believe Blizzard should’ve put in a SoO skip. It would save people so much time.
Less than 1% drop rates on anything is masochistic, parasitic game design designed to waste your time and frankly it needs to stop. I must have killed 4,000 vespoid by now in ZM and I still have not seen a single lattice. It’s stupid.
Skips for some raids are def needed! The amount of RP in DS/ICC alone make them much longer than they really should be. If anything allow us to skip some RP in these raids. I have about 600+ kills of Deathwing and am still farming 1 mount there. The amount of RP that I have to mute is maddening!
Deathwing on normal DS is the last mount I need from that place and the last mount that does not have a skip. A skip direct to spine would be nice, I could manage spine and Deathwing only if that was it, but having to do the whole place including Ultraxion, the ship and spine is just a nightmare.
But at least all I need is the normal mount so I only chance getting one duplicate and not two.
Agreed. I understand that in FF you’re garanteed to get any mount by 100 attempts. That seems like an entirely acceptable solution to me. Effort = Reward. Instead of Effort = Frustration.
Given how different WoW is compared to FF in that we can have an army of alts and in FF you only need one character due to their multiple class setup I can understand why they have a 100 kill gaurantee.
But in the very least they can give us raid skips, increase the drop rate, even do an increasing drop rate bad luck protection. I know some people here are going to be up in arms if they guarantee mounts in 100 tries, but at the same time when you have people still farming BC, Wrath, Cata and any older mount since they were live, yeh it’s a bit ridiculous.
Legacy raids shouldn’t have an ID at this point, let new players have the same field like players with 50 alts… Let everyone spam content, i wont mention my collection like OP did, but you can check it. I don’t have a problem with giving players more attempts on the same character, for collectors a lot of alts are just another coin for the slot machine but new players don’t have that.
I’ll benefit eventually when new mount achievements are added with a better frequency, instead of every 4 years.
But yeh it’s good to see people with a large mount collection advocating for changes, it goes to show that some people are not asking for changes just to benefit themselves.
