I got 3 425 titanforged items from m+ cache 3 weeks in a row and still hate titanforging

Can’t imagine that. Hate the current system.

I’ve always enjoyed the Titanforge system. Ever since they added it I thought it was one of the best new features added in recent years.

But I admit … it’s even MORE fun when you have great luck with titanforges!!!

(I’m loving my four 420 and four 425 pieces.:heart_eyes::heart_eyes::heart_eyes:)

Don’t understand why some hate titanforging. Jealous of the luck of a fellow gamer?

I like the RNG aspect of the item drops. If there wasn’t any chance of a drop, let’s give an example, wq boots drop of ilvl 370. If I have a pair of ilvl 370 boots already, and titanforging wasn’t a thing, it just about pointless for me to do the quest. Other than a little bit of rep and some measly scapped mats, it wouldn’t pay.

If all your equipment is above the raid level drop or dungeon drop, why would people do anything once they were geared up? Not saying that they aren’t playing just for the fun of it, but most people are incentivized by the glimmer of hope that a titanforged piece drops.

You want people of PLAY the game, right? Titanforging is a strong reason to do that.

WoW is struggling to remain relevant. The cyclical gamer gets in - the system showers them with loot, and then dangles the TF carrot to get them to stay longer. This is all this system is, an inexpensive retention grab that works for most modern gamers. I don’t feel I fall into that classification, as I dislike any systems that do not have regular endpoints - I like concrete, obtainable goals and I’m not going to log off and stop paying when I reach one of them. I have a guild, and Blizzard has a ton of things for me to do in game that do not revolve around gearing.

I do not like the system, but I see why the system has been introduced, and will most likely remain. For me it has taken away that nice restful feeling of working for, getting my bis, and then enjoying it for a time. It’s not my cup of tea. I try to just ignore it and cast it (in my head) as just poor gear itemization.

I said this at comment number 120 now over 200 posts later still no one has said how deleting your titan forged gear would be beneficial to those among us who would rather see titan forging not exist.

I don’t think anyone has an answer but again I am actively hoping to be proven wrong about this and invite anyone to do so.
