Even going into a havoc window, you usually don’t want too many shards. 3.5 is usually your target, so you’d be able to havoc conflag without overcapping, even with immo ticks and even accounting for possible immo crits. Sure you could get an SC refund or two, but you’d just want to adapt to that.
As for trinket procs, you usually don’t react to them very much, if at all.
With the nature of how Erad and RB works, you really can’t ‘wait’ with shards beyond super short periods or else it’ll be a net loss.
