Stuff like some of the comments here is one of the reasons I feel similarly to you about my monk and am hanging it up again as well. The class clearly has problems as evidenced by the lack of people playing/bringing it to raid and M+. However, there is a segment of the monk community that don’t want fixes because they like the “rareness” of it and anything that makes it more popular threatens that. There will never be a unified voice asking for improvements so nothing ever gets fixed.

It’s really become pretty toxic and off-putting.

Representation doesn’t equal OP. What ret was was incredibly easy to play, with one of the simplest rotations out there and a tool kit that was forgiving in all forms of content to get into.

But to insinuate that 9,600,000 people were paladin mains is the most hyperbolic argument I’ve ever seen, and I mostly post in the Arena forums.

They literally have a separate k value for keys vs raid for the stagger formula lol.

Just need the m+ k value and boom, doesn’t break them in raid

You’re absolutely right, but I wouldn’t be a monk main without being a bit stubborn.
I haven’t rerolled the entire they’ve been a thing, I just quit when they’re meh.

MW pvp is the only thing monk is not lacking in right now, and that’s just because it’s an immortal healer with a high dmg meta that is basically just pve W key at your rarget
And even then you are at a 46% winrate.

man i don’t want this to sound like an attack, but least for WW it was one of the worst performers all xpac back in df and they never did a thing with it, current WW once again is one of the wost if not the worst dps for m+ and raid, and we just got a buff, I’m not sure that blizz agrees with you, is more like, our voices as a monk community never reach anyone on blizz or blizz doesn’t care at all about a class only a few play

The WW buff really makes it competitive again for raid, at least for ST. I think FoF and SCK need their 5+ targets reduction retuned to drop off less.

Obviously, a greater rework is needed though.

Us having channeled abilities as melee is just a weird design that needs to go away.

Also, SCK needs to go back to being an energy cost AoE chi builder, like it originally was

We have channeling ability ? I Didn’t know mine keeps cancelling by itself :stuck_out_tongue: I dont mine most of us mind the Channeling but having it randomly cancel does suck. The spec Need a second rework that new talent tree did nothing its such a mess overall. We lost of Core essence overall were not Warlock all about celestial xD i still like the gameplay i will stay monk but having a Real Good rework would Bring back the spark.
