So Im in Winterspring cleaning up old tasks and one involves killing High Chief Winterfall. Only I cant kill High Chief Winterfall because there is a botter who instantly kills and loots the chief the instant it respawns. Has been doing it for hours now.

Ive reported, so I assume some time in the next few months the guy may get a warning about finding a better spot to bot where he wont get reported.

But, why this mob? It has a 100% drop rate on Winterfall Firewater which sells okay, but its basically making 35 gold a minute. Surely there are better ways to make gold in the game?

Are botters really risking their account for a bit of gold per minute? I assumed they would be farming spots where you can make millions - which is why it is worth the risk of getting caught.

He has a 0.0001% chance to drop some ridiculous tiger mount. Speccted Tiger or something. Spooky Tiger? Something anyway.

I dont see any mention of it on Wowhead. Is it a global drop chance? Or just the High Chief?

I assumed its about making 35g per minute for the firewater, not about some crazy rare drop.

What is the etiquette on reporting? Do it once and then leave it be? Come back every day or 2 with a new report?

I cannot fathom sweating over a ground mount. Retail ground mounts are literally useless.

Yah it’s something stupid, used to be in some sort of card game or something. I don’t get it.

Why are you just making stuff up?

The only tiger mount to get in Winterspring is for Alliance only and its through a daily quest you have to do until exalted.

The Winterfall chief is just a quest objective, and that’s it.

You are. No mob or NPC in the game drops a spectral tiger mount.

Oh that’s easy to explain:

He gives 40 reputation with Timbermaw Hold, with all reputation levels and has quite a limited spawn radius as well as respawning rather quickly…

So a bit of rep and a bit of gold? Bizarre. I guess they figured it was the middle of nowhere so they wouldnt get caught out.

Hopefully it gets looked into quickly.

Im not usually one to complain about bots, but yeah…in old content zones Ive been seeing them farming ore nodes a LOT the last few months.

They dont bother me as far as what they do the the economy.
Its more that I see them farming some of the ores I like to waste some time relaxing farming few an hour or two that really dont sell for a lot anyway (Ghost iron, for example).
So Im trying to relax and farm and see a couple of them out there and all the nodes are gone.
If its another real player I usually just go farm somewhere else so we’re not bumping into each other.
When its bots its just a bit annoying
