So if you right click on a quest in your objectives tracker… you now have options! You can focus a quest, open quest details, open quest map, untrack and abandon— all from the comfort of the objectives tracker!
Small, but powerful change. I love the focus option!
I’ll take a small victory where I can find it right now. LOL
My small thing is that even though it’s ugly and difficult to see, we now have visuals that represent which quests are daily, and which are not, when they are ready to be turned in, whereas before they’d all be yellow question marks and look alike.
I find most of the changes to be positive so far. And honestly a bit surprised by how much I like it so far. Was a tad uninterested in a bunch of it but it’s like they made a lot of things easier. I even like the new icons on the map, they are easier to read for some reason.
This is very cool. I’m surprised I didn’t heard about it earlier.
I’m pretty happy with the latest updates. The forums can make things seem completely terrible, but I’m really only dealing with some minor annoyances so far.
I completely agree with all of this, I’m just going with the spirit of the thread and finding a silver lining. It is more information. It’s just worse in every other way.
I agree that I much prefer the weekly/repeatable quests not to be yellow (because I have no interest in doing them weekly - or ever - but it bugs me seeing all these yellow exclamation marks all over Valdrakken). Although the UI seems to be bugged, at least with the interact key enabled, because when you approach the quest giver, the blue quest icon does a weird duplication thing, like 2 icons half overlapping or something.
The only other thing that I’m really excited about is certain achiements being shared across all characters. E.g. I turned in the Loamm Niffen weekly on a toon that was somewhere around renown 11 - but it registered extra rep for the entire account and awarded me with a renown bag (that you get after you max out on renown).
Or I have one character that got the challenge dungeon achiev back in WoD - I don’t do endgame stuff so at the time I paid for a carry. So this was the only character that had the teleports to all the WoD dungeons. Now all my alts have it, so it’ll make it so much faster to farm Rukhmar every week.
I don’t write code but for those who do, maybe this info can help. I got a refund for my TWW since I won’t be playing and out of curiosity, logged on to see the difference. Well the game runs better without TWW. IDK if it helps understand where the issues come from.
Whether you have War Within or not, the game still updates to 11.0.0, so my theory is that the hotfixed they’ve done the past two days and addon updates probably just smoothed things out for you.
