I finally understand the people who said "there's nothing to do in WoW now"

Welcome to enlightenment.

The first 20-25 levels have unique things such as class quests. Those stop at that point though unless you are a warrior (yea blue weapons quests every 10 levels) or you get lucky as a priest or hunter at 60.

You are also questing close to a trainer. Gain a even level in desolace and your love of class trainers may diminish.

Legion made an effort to get back to more of the “class flavor” side of things, with class quests, order halls, armor, mounts, etc. Every class had something to

It’d have been nice if they retained some of that in BfA.

Yes there is plenty of content for a couple of months.

I honestly don’t really understand people who say there is nothing to do. I always have more to do in game than I have time or energy to do – and that was before I started playing Classic as well.

Like doing that one WQ you’ve done a dozen times for a tiny amount of rep. Or doing that other WQ you’ve done a dozen times for a tiny amount of rep. And doing them both every day for a year. CONTENT!

Some folks do enjoy that, and nothing wrong with that, and a option for it in current version would not be a bad thing. Although sitting at a target dummy, or going to winterspring, and mob grinding furblogs to level up a 2 handed sword was not much fun imo. Admit though I was never into the rpg element of this game. Was more or less just about hanging out with friends in vent telling jokes, and going out, and killing monsters etc. Didn’t want that to be hampered by leveling a sword skill that a monkey could more, or less figure out in a couple of swings lol.

As opposed to the repetitive activities one partakes in to grind rep in classic?

You guys are all wrong. SWTOR is where it’s at!

Just kidding. Play what you like and stop being dicks to each other.

I’m not sure where I sit on the matter but some prefer plain Jane mob-farm rep grinds without any of the window dressing that comes with WQs and such, because even if it’s boring it’s something one can plan to sit down and hammer out without the game getting in your way.

Yes. Because in classic, grinds have an endpoint and definite reward. In retail, it’s random loot boxes.

You think it’s obnoxious to grind Timbermaw once for a recipe? You’re grinding reps beyond the cap, indefinitely, for a box that’s overwhelmingly likely to contain total garbage.

Proof this is a troll.

I think the sentiment is not actually there’s nothing to do in wow but there’s nothing “fun” to do in wow. There’s content but do people actually want to do it? It’s doing stuff because you have to do it vs. doing it because you want to do it.

There is tons to do. It just once you are there for while there isn’t.

It’s the same in Classic. Hit 60 and in a month you’ll be a raid logger. There was even less to do in classic at all anywhere.

All thou dailies are boring they are at least something.

In classic there is nothing. Zero, zip, zilch.

These threads need to die in the worst of ways. There’s a lot to do in retail, almost a ridiculous amount. Here’s the real problem though. Most of it is obsolete because of how easy it is to obtain high quality gear. Back in Wrath and Cataclysm you had to grind dungeons and reputations to get best in slot blues to prepare for raiding. Then you had to grind the raids to get your best in slot from there. Now? You get raid equivalent gear either on a titanforged roll or through various activities such as dailies, which is what world quests really are. It’s not a bad thing to get said gear through said means if the raid gear was worth chasing after. Since it’s on par, or close enough to be negligible, the content is pretty moot. Another thing that killed mindless dungeon crawling? Tabard no longer being used to work on reputation.

Outstanding, Now please do us retailers a favor… stay on classic, play on classic and in the future use the classic forums, thanks

i feel like i’m on repeat.

everything the op seems to like, is now referred to as “time gating”… and people don’t like that.

And at max Level in Classic you have nothing.

You log in on raid night with 40 guys. 30 of them sleep. 10 do all the work. That was every raid in classic but Naxx 40. Even then if you could keep 15 players awake you could win.

Classic was the most boring at max level in any xpac WoW did.

At least now you can do 4 WQ everyday. You at least have 20 to 30 mins of something to do. You can’t say that about classic.
