I know this is probably going to be meaningless in such a crazy patch cycle. But, I just wanted to say that I finally go 2100 as prot pally! It’s my first ever 2100 in anything let alone arena.
I’ve always looked at arena and found it to be kind of intimidating and daunting. I played mostly rbgs before this. But now that I’ve started climbing the ladder and getting higher, I’ve noticed things changing. My judgement calls and reactions have gotten so much better and quicker.
I see why so many people love arena pvp and the playstyle of it. It really helps to hone your skills and abilities. Thanks to all the fish!
Oh and shout out to Sharkblader from Ragnaros! He’s one hell of a player and I’ve had such a blast!

Could I ask what comps you played? What is prot good with?
Well, I just replied in Lumaca’s post over on the pally forums. He’s got a great guide there if you want to check it out. But from my experience, I’ve found DHs or Arms to the best partners for me. Their high mobility and extra cc’s really help round out our toolkits.

Congratulations on your first 2100! First time achievements like this are always memorable. It’s not meaningless either. You’ve achieved something.
That said… Please considering swapping Ret or Hpal.

I’m disinclined to acquiesce to your request sadly. I find prot to be a lot more fun than ret and with a whole lot more utility. But thanks for the comments!

Been seeing a lot of prot pallies lately, might consider swapping to it to. Since its seems more fun that playing ret or holy.

Dps specs used to have a lot of utility at one time and oddly enough arena was more fun then

Grats. Been playing prot some as well. Surprisingly it does just as well as Ret even with a healer. Won 2.1k+ games the last few weeks for weekly win with a disc, rsham, and DH. The best thing about it though is it’s not at a giant disadvantage to most casters like Ret is. It has all the anti-caster tools Ret should have access to.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I noticed you on arenamate when I was seeing what all the top prot paladins were running with. I’m looking to see what 3’s partners prots are going with these days.
