I finally decided to run some 20-23 keys, I've realized why how people get KSM so easy

So I’ve always thought hey I can push 20s no problem, but with the vault stopping at 15 I didn’t want to invest the time past 18/19s and didn’t care to pug into it. Turns out I was right, 23s are easy if you’re IQ is above 100.

A friend of mine who leads a pug community is a CE Raider and is helping a new guild get CE and he convinced me to join the roster (not the guild tho). So I was chilling in their discord and they asked me if I had a venthyr to DPS an SD +22. I said I can swap to venthyr on my Frost DK. They had a VDH, 2 SV hunters and a resto shaman.

I’ve done a hand full of 19s but never a 20 or higher. We slammed the key, I died a few times but finished top DPS and 2 chested it. Proceeded to do a gambit 23 and a NW 22. I think I finished second and dps once, first the others.

Literally the other difference between a 15 and a 23 and stuff one shots u for the most part. Almost every route and pull size was about the same. Interrupts we’re structured and the tank did call for some personal CDs but overall it was a breeze.

I hopped back into a 17 on my alt and I realized that people fail sooo many mechanics in lower keys but it’s not punishing enough to kill them. I think we had 29 deaths in the NW +17 and we 2 chested it with my prot Pally being top DPS.

I got KSM on 4 toons, completely pugged and now I realize, KSM is basically just not being completely afk and you get it for free. Like KSM shouldn’t even be an achievement and I feel like an idiot acting like I was not awful at this game just because I got aotc/KSM on 4 toons every tier.

yes, your SD with two survival hunters, no one else in the group under 3k io and a 3300 tank sure does prove your point.

That aside, yes, KSM is easy.

It’s not easy when you can’t get into groups because of low IO and the only groups you can get into require a huge amount of carrying.

If you have the IO and connections to get into good groups it’s easy. But it’s really a big time investment otherwise

I literally pushed my own keys and pugged 4 toons to 2700+. Wasn’t hard.

As a frost DK I was top DPS. I ran 3 more keys with that group topping DPS every run except 1. So ya there is that…

I’m sorry. Pushing to 2700 on 4 different toons would a full time job for me.

If KSM was easy it wouldn’t be such a pain in the a** to complete in the first place. Too many failed groups I’ve joined to agree with you. So yeah, I’m glad they give you an achievement for running the meat grinder. Congrats regardless

Far from it. Outside of the first few weeks of this patch I only play a few hours a day, 4-5 days a week. I also am on a rocket league team, pushing up the ladder in League of Legends, work 45 hours a week, run a blog and support a family.

Just make your own dude, that’s what I do. Heck when I throw up an 18, I struggle to find DPS.

I don’t understand how that’s possible

Dude just push your key up. Also as a warrior you should be able to carry any group.

Keys don’t take long to form. I also am too busy to waste time. I don’t sit on wow doing nothing. I’m either helping my communities do aotc runs, helping people get KSM, running 15s for the vault or playing another game.

making own groups is so much of a cop out response save it please we know how it ends up. No tank, bad dps leave after 1 wipe etc etc. save the make own group nonsense if your io is not high enough people will not populate your listing.

If you play a healer you might. There used to be a tank shortage on alliance but since the merger it’s been harder for me to get into groups as a tank. Now it’s just a healer shortage. I’ve had very high io groups and still no healer in sight

I only started to run with friends after I hit 2600 on all of my toons. I have a pally, DK, monk and shaman. And the problem is people don’t realize the issue is they are holding themselves back.

If I’m just doing a weekly 15, I invite really anyone idc. If I’m pushing a key, I focus on timed keys only. I took a 2600 mage yesterday over 2 2800 locks, mage had timed 45 +15s but only 1 10-14 and was 6/11M. That tells me he really knows his class. And he did 34k DPS on the first boss in NW +18.

I don’t invite people who are hard stuck in lower keys. I’d you timed 40 10-14 that tells me I still don’t have a basic understanding of the dungeons or your class. And no one valor.fas 10-14 btw. If I see you just returned from a break and timed 1 5-9, 2- 10-14 and 3 15+ and you’re 1800, I’ll probably invite you if u fit what I need (cov, list, brez or melee/ranged comp).

My mage was doing 10k DPS in 245 gear and she can’t even get into +2’s. I sadly had to drop the character because of how hard it was to get into groups.

Doesn’t ZM drop 252 gear? Dude, post up your +2 key and you’ll get 500 signups for a valor farm. It’s not an excuse, all that is holding you back is you!

Im talking about my warlock not a healer or tank. Dps a pain to make groups I serious got KSM in 3 resets on this healer. I joined a guild on my warlock and the clique would on use dps buddies to carry in 15’s it was total BS so i left. I kept this toon out of the guild as I got KSM on my own.
