my character full slot to 50+ characters and I keep creating creating and creating wanted to be the perfect character in the world. but when I play on remix I keep deleting characters makes me unjoy which servers I like or which class gameplay already played many classes get the feeling of boredom. I try being healer, tank, and DPS over and over and it makes me feel I am bad at the game. people see me good but I feel drained by the game. I am a long-term player but I always love to keep my character fresh with the lore, gameplay, etc in-game me game-playing
I’m in a similiar position. I have 50+ slots filled. There was a time, back in the first few expansions, where I had maybe five characters. Now, I’m all over the place and feel disinterested.
One of the problems, I am sure, is age. We lose interest as we grow older, having “been there and seen that.” Another issue is this game has increasingly had a difficult time maintaining class or race fantasy, especially beyond the first few starter zones. One final issue is the gradual homogenization of the classes, with regards to ability choice.
The game is -not- bad. Please don’t misunderstand. But, it -has- changed. It has moved from a social, story-oriented epic drama, in which your character is one of many to a race to the finish, in which you get to participate in loot treadmills.

when you play the same thing for more than 10 yrs of course its going to seem bland and uninteresting, SL DF and TWW prob seem like the best expansions for those with little yrs on wow but for all the long term players its just another xpac doing the same thing over and over, fresh new story but same crap smell

I’ve been playing for a long time too and feeling uninterested is normal. Blizz doesn’t really innovate, they just recycle, making for a dull game.

I been taking breaks in expansions since MoP, I get to a similar point like yours and I am out for awhile and back later. I was done with progression raiding back in cata now I just keep up with the lore as long as it makes minimum sense.
The game is suppose to be designed for teenagers as well as rated T and yeah I don’t make that age bracket , so I guess its age. Can’t do anything about it

problem also is the fact that now raids are literally completable by everyone easily, back in the day they had a challenge to em and there was only minimal assitance from addons, now its like theres an addon / weakaura for everything making it super easy and even if you dont use them the mechanics have dulled to match them
there are other games out there , enjoy
