I feel too far behind to play Classic WOW

I mean we are each entitled to our own opinions I find pay2win models more and more appealing as I age as i have more and more money and less and less time. Don’t however act like there are not people like me who prefer this system as the player base for classic is older not little kids so people like me are fairly common.

@ chuck Also plenty of people love boosts if you don’t enjoy leveling at all its simply skipping work. Even if it his first character i know plenty of people who accept retail gold for classic boosts. Or if he has friends he can get one for free.

To be clear i understand why some people dont like pay2win I am just not one of them i love it. In my eyes it lets younger players and no lifers get payed for all the time they put in. It also lets people like me a single father with 2 kids and a job compete with people who have all the time in the world so i think its great.

wrong thread?

Dude, why do you act like that = blizz has to push back naxx for you, you didnt play a game thats been out well over a year, so now we cant get on with the show? dont think so

I understand what RMT means. It’s all the rest of what you said that’s nonsensical

Don’t listen to people telling you that you still have time. They are naive. Most people will not find a guild that helps them get gear. You’ll get get scraps and that’s it. You will not get anything from naxx for months to come. Because you have no credibility within the guild. All the good pieces are still reserved for particular players from old content.

IF you just want to be carried through content, then yeah play the game. But I can’t imagine how that’s fun.

The game is about to be fully released in all it’s glory. Your path is simple.

  1. get 60
  2. pug zg/aq20/Ony get gear.
  3. pug MC/BWL get gear
  4. get into AQ40/Naxx clearing/progression guild.

That’s it. Doesn’t get much easier for a new player.

Although I disagree, I see where you are coming from.

However Im super curious: what is it to ‘win’ for you, and how do RMTs help you ‘beat’ everyone else? Or is it just for buying drops and mounts?

Great point. I wonder how many guilds are left to get a newb straight to #4 if newbies choose to skip content (tho I wouldnt recommend)

Tons of alt raids out there with generous vets.

Since you’re level 30, you could look for a leveling guild. This should allow you to find others at similar levels, and who play during similar times. Not all leveling guilds are the same, so chances are some will fit your needs better than others. Keep looking until you find one that feels right.

Once you get to max-level, either try to find a group of people gearing up for pre-raid BiS, or find a guild that is accepting people who are still gearing - even better if they have some people who want to help out with attunements and some instance runs.

There are so many people playing WoW Classic that it shouldn’t be terribly difficult to find groups of people who suit your playstyle.

Good luck and have fun

The solution is simple and easy - I see tons of players doing this to get quick and easy bis gear all the time. Just follow the steps:

  1. Get a large amount of gold seemingly out of nowhere even though you don’t farm anything or have much of an income at all.

  2. Go to a GDKP and just purchase your wanted gear with gold.

I’m not sure where you would get this gold from, but there are a LOT of players that follow these simple rules and nothing has happened to them so far, so it must be legitimate!

Yeah…but bought gear overall, sucks. Im amazed people buy gold instead of play legit for a few hours to get better gear, and, you know, have fun with others.

I suppose you could get a mount, buy some mats, buy some drops…but what for? Whats left at that point? Mailbox flexing? Sound like the rich kids driving a new luxury car every month…just because they can.

Pretty sure phase 6 has so much catch-up gear and between that and zg/aq20 which are glorified dungeons you’ll be geared enough to do stuff

Kindof same here. I had max level alliance toons for almost the entirety of classic, but switched to Horde back in May and didn’t hit 60 on him until like…July? I’m pretty much BiS P4, so technically I’m in the AQ40 fields now. Took no time at all.

Just play and enjoy. You’ll be able to clear all the content eventually.

The irony of being boosted 59 levels only to repeat the same instanced content every week.

If you only got to 30 not sure how into the game you were. But I agree with you on missing out. It’s extremely hard to find groups unless you want to sit in a major city and spam LFG for hours, or you get connected with some people in the same boat. I joined a “leveling guild” to try and fight that, but problem is it’s almost all DPS classes so it’s still a huge struggle to find the tank and heals. If blizzard was smart they would open a new realm every three months or so . Give new people a chance to get in on the ground floor and vets a chance to start over. For some reason they cant see the simple benefit of that.

there will always be guilds looking for holy paladins. if youre willing to stick with it, many guilds will help you gear up and most guilds still run mc and bwl weekly so do not fear. in fact, if most of the guildies have their tier 1 sets already it might only take you 2 or 3 MC’s to get a full tier 1 set.

The release of Naxxramas and Shadowlands so close together means a lot of guilds are going to be desperate to fill 40 slots for a raid. You’ll be fine.

Hey! If you plan on rerolling to another server for a fresh start, I’d totally be down to reroll with you! I’m also in the same boat as you in feeling left behind (Also oddly enough stopped at a level 30 Holy Paladin) If you are down let me know! It’s always good to make a new friend for levelling and playing the game!
