I feel the gearing system is way too confusing

too many subatrates that i dont know if o should upgrade items or not.

especially tje quest i cant even figure out how to complete for that shard.

ive also spent 5k honor for the green quest thing, and still don’t have that spark.

It’s really not that confusing. I think they just overexplained it in that one large blue post.

You do a level of content to get gear and upgrades for that content, not really hard.

Here’s an easy way to sort through the new system:

  • Get a new item
  • Take it to an upgrade NPC
  • Place the new item in the upgrade window
  • Look at the upgrade levels and see what’s required to upgrade
  • See if the upgraded stats are worth it (to do the content needed for the upgrade “reagents”) compared to what you’re currently using

Do content - get currency.

Visit upgrade npc - it tells you what you need.

Have enough? Upgrade

Don’t have enough? Do more content.

Basically same as always.

Its designed to obfuscate the fact that it’s only goal is to get more game time out of you

Why make a good game when you can just make a ton of currencies instead. Example: Diablo immoral
