So like the idiot I am and enjoying Warcraft lore. A while ago I bought the Chronicles, this was before Shadowlands, obviously. And a bunch of it has been retconned.
But I need to vent out something. Why does Blizzard has the audacity to still write novel? Or even sell them? This is absurd and a slap at the face to the players. The game can’t even provide much story. 17 minutes of cut-scene for 2 years of a single expansion.
Danuser, you owe me money. I hope nobody ever buy a book from you again, Blizzard.
the forums have said that ff11 is literally satan. like EQ level and so much worse than ff14. i’ve never played it though. is it like dad gamer mode like classic is? that might be cool then if so…
Hunting 4 Games and NextGames are our two big content creators for youtube side of thing for FF11 retail. I recommend giving them a watch if you wish to learn more about it. But I personally enjoy is a lot and I’ve been at it since PlayStation 2 release, which was before WoW.
The game stands in it’s proper age. Not as bad as EverQuest, but not as Dynamic as WoW classic. There has been in fact an influx of players lately because of different MMOs performing badly. Yeah I’d say it can be considered a dad game in a sort of way where it’s very chill.
It’s very old school, working for different type of gears matter a lot, so you can eventually “Gear Swap” sets, so when you use a TP skill you will deal more weapons skill damage % with +attack power, then go back to your normal set with more accuracy and enhanced dual wield or Double attack rate +15%, That type of deal, the post level 99 is prestige level so you level up without leveling and expend further.
Truly curious how buying books that are sold as a product that “canonize” World of Warcraft lore to have it rectonned by Danuser is not a slap at the face? Enlighten me if you think you can.

Also what was even ret-conned from Chronicle? Keep in mind here that the definition of a retcon is not “new information that changes how we look at past events”.
All of it? It was initially sold as the definitive lore guide until they backtracked and said the book is actually written from the “titan’s prespective”. Heck, the Broker apperently laughed at Chronicles whole “cosmology chart”.
Lets start with the whole “all the titans were killed and all their spirits were destroyed”. Didnt even take one expansion before they retconned that. Also the aformentioned cosmology chart.
