Rogues are able to have permastealth and in lore demon hunter spectral sight is just passive. Not this temporarily activated ability. Besides. Even if demon hunters did have perma spectra sight, rogues still have all kinds of ways for causing problems for demon hunters cause of the sheer amount of stuns and mobility they have.

I could get behind this, but to make things fair Warlocks would have to be able to enslave DH’s. Since you’re only PART demon it should be short duration, 30 seconds or so. BUT if we catch you with it during Meta it’s the full 5 minutes.

Well, from a lore standpoint the ONLY sight demon hunters should have is the spectral kind because they don’t have their regular eyes anymore.
But of course, for game balance purposes, it’s the other way.
Also if a DH character couldn’t use normal sight I think that would get annoying pretty quickly and a lot of folks wouldn’t play them very long.
And the rest of us feel like DH’s shouldn’t have such crazy mobility, survivability and dmg all baked into 3 or 4 abilities.
Passive increased stealth detection would be okay but spectral sight is still a focused ability.
That also seems fair. Hunters have something like that.

Imagine still being upset about DHs on the cusp of our well-deserved upcoming nerfs.
This is a game mechanics thing. As much as I love spectral sight, it being up all the time would be insanity. Rogues need to have an opportunity to get the opener. So many rogue comps depend on a good opener. If you rob them of that, their value goes down incredibly.
Slightly increased stealth detection would be fine because it still gives rogues fair openers. But yeah.
Yea. I actually agree with that. Especially because rogues also have a talent that can increase the range of blind and can keep their distance then jump someone quickly.
In lore you have spectral sight permanently, just like in-game. That’s how you see things without having eyes.
But if you want to see THROUGH stuff, you have to concentrate and filter out the physical objects that you don’t care about. That’s what your “Spectral Sight” cooldown is for.
Lore wise we do. Just wouldn’t be fair to actually have it. Same reason why we can see so many beautiful visuals while playing.
Imagine having spectral sight but be permastuck seeing the game that way. 
Almost like they just nerfed that for SL…

In the books DH can see normally too once they get used to things.
Definitely needs a change from how it is currently. Toggle on and off might be too strong in PvP, but I don’t see it being a problem in any other activity.
In PvP:
I think normal movement and having it persist attacking/ receiving damage (passively, not via talent) for duration wouldn’t make it OP. Maybe 30s duration with 45s-1min cooldown too. In current state it’s not very useful unless you gimp damage for talent.
