All through Shadowlands Frost was either at the bottom or was “lower-middle” at the very end. I got through by greatly out-gearing (through m+) the rest of the DPS in my raid group just to stay consistent with them. Now in the second week of raiding in DF I am struggling. AOE in m+ is not working out. Despite the buffs we just got, Frost is dead last in raids (in general).
If there is anything frost can do well, please tell me what it is. As far as I can tell, the purpose of frost mages is to be mocked. It’s such a consistent pattern at this point, that I think Blizzard just needs to come out and explain why frost is designed to be so deeply unfortunate.
It makes me think. I have seen people write that wow suffers from developers not playing the game, but maybe the problem is that certain devs do, but are biased and develop it while holding ancient grudges. I mean…yikes. Keeping a whole spec pushed down even in PVE over something that happened in PVP decades ago…petty.
Icy Propulsion needs to be buffed to at least 1.25
Snowstorm should be buffed.
Cold front is dead without Deathborne. They should buff Fractured frost a bit and but it in place of snap freeze, which could just be baked into the spec.
