Not because they’re missing out on yummy PvP but because there’s so many great abilities behind the PvP talent system.
Lighting lasso
Greater pyroblast
Focused chaos bolt
Death from aboveit looks cool
Shadowy duel
Demon hunter fly go vrrrrr
The list goes on
I have played this long without those abilities, I am not missing anything.
There are so many fantastic pvp talents i wish where baseline or in the regular game
So flavorful
I’d rather have them in my PvE gameplay
Yeah you’re just missing out on the fun.
I mostly thought of this while leveling my DH warmode on and using Fly go vrrrrrr while general questing vs melee mobs
Kinda hard when you’re Alliance. If you’re Horde just turn it on for the free 10%
I’m strongly opposed to the idea of PvP having unique abilities.
If some standard talent options become the go-to for PvP because they have a CC or Burst component, sure, that’s fine. It’s an option. Pick the one that suits the content you’re doing best.
But outright locking multiple abilities to specifically PvP, even outside of certain Essences, is insulting.
That doesn’t change the fact that it’s how things are right now, but god I hate it.
I’m good with those settings off. Nothing kills my immersion more than some level 120 purple gear mussing up more than Gassy’s perfect perm.

The only ABILITIES that are locked to PvE are from Essences. PvP also has Essences.
yeah sure I lose some abilities but I don’t lose time, If I have WM I will more than likely lose time so its a fair trade off.
You clearly don’t pvp and never have. Outside of the good gear being essentially locked to PvE, many abilities are unusable or nerfed to the ground if they are usable in PvP.
Many more things are locked behind PvE and always have been, including crazy set bonuses and great trinkets, than PvP.
Including many abilities.
I feel sorry for the peeps who like to get jumped on and waste minutes of the limited time they have to do daily’s because of having wm on. Am i missing 3 of these abilities? Nope don’t care. Been playing since vanilla all these years and I’ve seen em all.
That’s part of the reason I have it always enabled… There are some QoL things with the pvp talents!
And with flying now is easier to avoid being ganked anyways.
I rather have them for a raid/dungeon then have them for some WQ.
Just as no one should be forced to do pve to have equipment to do pvp, no one should be forced to do pvp to have access to better talents for making pve.
Extra abilities are great, but they’re not really a net positive when access to them comes with all that extra time spent in ghost form alt-tabbed out waiting for the roving party to get bored and stop camping you.
