I hate this place with all my being. I feel sorry for those who had to tolerate these characters for a whole expansion.

Technically incorrect. There was that outdoor elite area in the azure span where everything sucked to kill until you farmed enough power drops to become unkillable

I appreciate your opinion OP, although I completely disagree. Hallowfall is my favorite TWW zone. I love the vibe of the Arathi people, the music, the appearance, the giant color changing crystal, the quests. I quite like Faerin as well, I like her positive attitude compared to what is going on around her. I like Alleria as well, and although she’s a little one note with her hunt for Xal, I still like her quite a bit story wise. I can just log into HF and just sit there and enjoy the music for a long period of time and it’s the only zone aside from Undermine that I’ve run a bunch of alts through, the rest are just ok to me.
Again though, your opinion is valid for you OP and as always I only speak for myself.

I didn’t hate Hallofall, it is the only zone in this expansion that they seem to have spent any real time designing and fleshing out. The thing I agree with, however, is that the story in the campaign DOES indeed suck.
Faerin sucks not because of any one single aspect about her, but the fact that they were all squished together in one character. And that the single character is pretty much the focal point of all the preaching and self-righteous preening of that part of the campaign.

The only problem with Hallowfall is that it’s the only zone without a shortcut.
Dorn → Isle of Dorn? derp
Dorn → AK? yep, portal right in the city.
Dorn → Ringing Deeps? yep, not one but TWO elevators, if you don’t want to just fly down.
Dorn to Hallowfall? … Have to fly to Ringing Deeps, then hang a left to get to Hallowfall. But you’re at the very edge of the zone and now still have to fly to get anywhere to do anything. OHHHHHH and the repeatable event? Yep, just like milk at the grocery store… it’s at the COMPLETE other end of where you enter. fml
Between the Coreway going straight to the Ringing Deeps and the fact we’re surrounded by Dark Irons, can’t we just get a tunnel straight there?
Or just lemme click a button: “I’m over the MAH IMMMMMERSION aspect of this junk and just WANT TO PLAY” so I can access a portal, just like to AK.
So tired of “mah immmmersion” being the lead weight tied to every tedious chore in this game.

My favorite zone is still Drustvar but Hallowfall quickly became my second most.

Heh. Until you said this I didn’t really realize, but this is exactly why I don’t bother to go all the way over there. It’s just not worth it to me. (Even though the mogs are kind of cool looking with the white aesthetic. Like milk.)

Hey now, I like centaurs. I actually thought they were the best part of DF, I couldn’t stand any more Chromie quests.
Now I agree with everything else you said, and it would make sense if it was all a vision of N’Zoth, because defeating him with a Kamehameha was pretty… silly.

Faerin is definitely not the first badly written character in this game, that’s for sure, and will likely not be the last, alas.

I felt the exact same when she tried to sound all noble about getting an upgrade. Everything she complained about was about to be solved and she suddenly wanted nothing to do with it. My guess is she just likes to complain. Either that or she feels that we should all cut off an arm and bolt on a shield. We must not know what we’re all missing.
