I Don't Want Mechagnomes

That’s actually exactly the problem. It’s why it should be a customization, not a race.

I mean there’s a whole list of races I’d like them to go back and add instead of just making new ones up:

Taunka
Ogres
High Elves
Wildhammer Dwarves
Frost Dwarves
Broken Draenei
Forest Trolls
Drogbar
The original Druids of the Pack
Hozen
Jinyu
Moknathal
Furbolgs

I’m sure there are more I’m forgetting but many of these are either actually a part of the Horde or Alliance in lore already, or are loosely allied with one or the other.

Every gnome who completes mechagon should have the option to undergo the procedure to become a mechagnome, just like every draenei who completes argus should be able to undergo the Lightforged ritual.

Yea like Pandaran Neutrality that lets you choose after a certain level.

I can’t wait for mechagnomes :blue_heart:

With how unsteady and verging on total disaster that BfA has gone through. I hope if they got a few Allied Races in their back pocket they are really good.

Sorry but Mechagnomes are BLAH to say the least. Now Ankoan have my full support and I would be excited to look forward to them. Even Lightforged Undead to me isn’t very interesting.

When we find out the next Allied races I want to be excited. I hope that is how most of you feel.

Serious question/observation here. Assuming we get Mecha Gnomes as an allied race, how would these gnomes look any different than regular gnomes once they have pants, gloves and boots on? All their mechanical parts will be covered and we are left with just regular gnomes. What’s the desire in that?

If you don’t like them don’t play them? Myself I could care less to unlock any of the allied races as I will never play any of them. Does it mean they shouldn’t be in the game? No; because giving more race options is a good thing overall imo.

They already joined in Cata. It’s where all the dwarf shaman come from.

Guess you won’t have to worry about grinding out the rep to roll one then.

So is the OP the voice of the alliance now? It’s amazing that when a player doesn’t want something it becomes a “We don’t want”

I didn’t want mag’har orcs, but they brought people joy. I don’t play them but others do, so I’m glad we got them

Maybe don’t only think about yourself eh OP?

Honestly, they could just be a customization option. Like the Night warrior eyes.

So far they look pretty regular gnomish, just with robo part and new hair

I don’t want High Elves. They’re snooty, their hair is too white, and they smell like cheese.

Mechagnomes are not an allied race… there are no new allied races for 8.2, and mechagnomes are an NPC race.

Well, I do want mechagnomes.

So, what do we do now? Civil War?

This should just be copy/pasted to every single post ever, and then the thread locked.
Cuz… that’s exactly how things are.

There are definitely way too many elves. Conceptually gnomes are pretty cool, but I don’t know about all you but I find playing behind a tiny toon really annoying really fast.
I feel like they have so many races to choose from and they’re limiting themselves too much to only human shaped characters. Obviously they’re capable of making centaur toons so why not make them playable. As for aligning with factions: no need. screw allied races. Make mercenary races that can align by player choice like Pandarians.

Goblins: *see gnomes on a ship

I’m not a big fan of high elves specifically, but I would take virtually any other viable allied race, including them, over mechagnomes.
