When the final raids are released, no more content should be added. Since if BC launches, then Wrath will launch. Then it will be Cata again… Then people will host classic private servers because we want classic wow. Not more content. Everyone who is saying classic needs to have continued content updates after the final phase doesn’t want classic. If there are content patches after the phases, the game will devolve to the point where it turns into a mix of wod and bfa.

Doubt they ever talked of deleting this version of wow. I for one would love a bc version (even if it was just a couple realms) as this was my favorite version of the game

Blizzard has never said anything about re-releasing TBC. People just assume because they re-released Vanilla, that we’ll eventually see TBC.
However, anything that can make money with little effort will be explored, I am sure of it.

They’ll most likely just separate expansions as separate servers. The most that will happen is that they’ll allow a copy of your character to transfer over to the next expansion. I assume they’ll pop out some fresh vanilla servers as well.
Also, you don’t speak for everyone. I 10000 percent want tbc. Classic is fun but imo TBC is much more polished

TBC is for many people the pinnacle of WoW. I think WotLK was the most popular expansion and there could be many reasons debated for why that over TBC. Classic WoW was great but TBC did everything it did but better.

Well hold on now. Having BC servers doesn’t mean classic servers will shut down. Maybe we could have both! And having BC/Wrath servers does not mean Cata servers, because Cata isn’t as popular and getting these servers is largely a matter of demand.

What you quoted doesn’t invalidate my comment. Everything I said was true. Blizzard never said anything about re-releasing TBC. They said the groundwork is there should they ever decide to re-release it.
Cata was hated by a lot of the WoW community so I am pretty sure they will not waste money on Cata servers. Both TBC and WotLK were hugely popular and actually grew the player base. They will spend money on these versions and we will see them likely 2ish years (the year between retail expansions) after the previous versions release.

Playing thru classic has really forced its flaws in my face, many of which are fixed in tbc. The more I play classic (as fun as it is) the more I want TBC

Actually they have in that they said it would be the more likely route as the bulk of the work was done working on Classic.
It’s pretty obvious they have thought about in some regard. They just aren’t going to announce anything until they see how Classic goes.

I can wait… TBC is where I got burned out. PVP went small scale arenas with resilience being the new must have stat… dungeons became smaller and more grindy then ever… rep grinds were everywhere… no more 40 man raids…
I enjoy Vanilla/Classic much more than I ever did TBC.

Classic+ with a single reserve classic server is the best option. Because there really needs to at least be one classic pure server.
But the reason classic+ is the best is because it has no definitive method forward and could have all the BC fixes without the BC problems. No one knows exactly how they would do Classic+ so no one can say for sure how it would be done.
With that said I dont really trust the devs to make Classic+ great so Im basically just like “whatever” right now until they actually announce what theyll do.
