BFA is a ton of fun. The storytelling is great, the dungeons are great, and world PvP is incredibly fun. Even the music is stellar. It is not impossible at all to play Warmode as Alliance as people claim; we’re killing Horde all the time. As far as “nothing to do” and “I’m bored” there’s a ton to do:
I’m honestly confused as to why people are so negative about this game in the forums. I wonder if some of it has to do with how people look back fondly at the “good old days” with rose-colored glasses. Since I started playing in Legion I have no rose-colored glasses for past. I’m living in the moment and loving the hell out of BFA. Troll me!
I enjoy BFA as well, but I’m not going to pretend it’s perfect.
Not everyone will share the same opinion that you do in that so they will complain, and they have reason to, some of these complaints being pretty valid.
World quests are useless once you hit 340
Not a lot of people PvP
Islands and Warfronts are just people trying to figure out the best way to afk without getting kicked.
Leveling alts is bad when you hit max level and have to do the AP and rep grinds again.
Basically just leaves raids and M+ if you PVE and bgs and arenas if you pvp.
Warfronts got boring after the first one. Leveling is awful rn. Island expeditions are okay. WORLD QUESTS OMEGALUL. Arena is probably going into the worst season ever with 90% of the comps being RMPala. Even competitive PVP was a joke. Mythic + is alright, grievous just makes this week almost unplayable.
I’m not concerned that people have problems with the game. Rather I was honestly curious if there’s something I’m missing because the feedback on the forums did not match my experience at all. I think the fact that some people don’t like PvP goes a long way to explaining it. I can’t imagine not playing any PvP, it’s so much fun.
I can only really speak for myself, but the problems I have with bfa are not really related to the content, though Island Expeditions and Warfonts are boring. It’s mostly the class design and itemization I don’t like - Azerite gear is terrible.
It feels even worse coming from Legion where we were uber powerful and had artifacts, tier sets, legendaries, relics ON our artifacts, etc. Azerite feels like a joke in comparison. Classes were pruned in Legion but filled the gaps with the artifacts, BFA kept the prune and even removed more spells in some cases, so classes that were great in Legion now feel anemic.
Some classes, namely Shamans and Priests were told that the dev team had run out of time and it would take until 8.1 for a fix, but what they;ve shown so far is mostly talent tuning and not mechanical changes that were expected.
what 3rd party PR shilling firm you with? Or are you in house because your post is a almost word for word like other shills i have seen posted on MMO , Reddit and here
BFA was fine at the start, but it’s become very stale very quickly. And as far as Warmode goes, unless you’re in a roaming band, you’re likely going to get ganked as Alliance.
World Quests are nothing new. There are very few fun ones this time around; more of Legion’s were fun.
M+ is… decent. It’s not as fun as Legion was, and they’ve obviously designed these dungeons specifically for M+, because they’re more tedious than Legion dungeons.
Raid is raid. It’s been out a while, it’s fairly stale, and most of the raid bosses are very simple, especially if you’re a tank.
World PvP was not made better. It now encourages finding a roaming group to get your kills and get out.
Class balance in Arenas is fairly mediocre. Getting stomped by somebody who rolls their face on the keyboard because I picked the wrong class to do DPS as for PvP isn’t fun. (No, I’m not talking about the Paladin.)
Battlegrounds are fun to kill time, but right now you’re either grinding them for Conquest or doing them just to do them.
Warfronts are stale. Warfronts insult intelligence. I avoid doing them unless I have to do them for alt gearing.
Island Expeditions are a large time-sink with very little defined about the reward structure. Sorry, but it’s a way to cap Azerite, and I got bored after the first three.
When “Leveling Alts” is considered “something to do” three months into an expansion, that expansion is not good.
People are negative about this game in the forums because BfA has dropped the ball and there’s a lot to complain about. I do look back with fondness upon Legion and Wrath.
If you started in Legion and can’t see the massive gaping holes in the system by comparison, then you’re either deceiving yourself or just don’t care at all.
I’m not bitter people are bitter, and sure I suck but honestly I’m curious why people don’t like the game as much as me. Drathiel made some interesting points. What else?
No game is ever going to satisfy everyone. There will always be complaints because none of us will ever have it all “our way”.
There are glitches and errors that need to be fixed, but most of the complaints seem to fall into the “I don’t like this feature” category and, while it is fine to express your preferences, most of those fall into the personal preference category. For every one of those you’ll find some portion of the playerbase that will disagree.
For personal preference types of complaints validity depends on your point of view and that is seldom consistent across all players, even the minority that actually read and post to the forums. So opinions on the validity of the complaints, just like judgement on the quality of the content will vary from player to player.
