RFK and RFD aren’t that bad at least because you just take the boat from Booty Bay to Ratchet and you should be high enough leveled to get through Strangethorn unscaved by that point.
All of these dungeon trips are much worse for Alliance too. Horde have it much easier when it comes to leveling dungeons than Alliance do. Stockades and Deadmines are the only 2 that are easier to reach for Alliance. And Scholomance later I guess.
Even Deadmines isn’t that bad for Horde as you can just jump off the Zeppelin into the sea near Westfall. Takes less than 10 minutes to get there.
RFK and RFD are the least difficult yea. But you still gotta make the trip to Kalimdor. But BFD is a pain in the asz and I personally hate that instance for taking so long to get to and not being very rewarding.
SM is the biggest issue though. Its such a crucial instance for allies or maybe for horde too. From 30-40. And we just have to walk our asses from Southshore all the way north. There’s just no way around it.
And the way PvP is right now… Theres no way to get through southshore without dying a few times.
The zeppelin from Orgrimmar to Grom’Gol Base Camp flies over the ocean near Westfall. You can jump off the Zeppelin and actually be in Westfall, no STV mobs at all. And you won’t die from falling because you land in the water.
The community excuse is nonsense. I think I’ve talked to maybe 4% of the people I’ve grouped with after, most don’t even play again for a few weeks. The only community you need is a guild. Relying on randoms for a community is asinine.
YOU SIR, YOU ARE A GOD AMONGST MEN.
I am sitting here scratching my head trying to figure out a way to explain this by putting a value on the group and the people you meet but its too early. It just wasn’t coming to me.
Please copy and paste this every time a topic like this comes up.
although next time can you post it for your Classic toon? I’ve found agreeing with more and more retail toons lately and it is really starting to bother me out of pure principalities up in this mother…
its early, my post is full of typos. deal with it.
Not that any Horde actually bother doing this. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a run for Deadmines advertised in LFG. Wailing Caverns is the same level range and Horde have quests for there, whereas we have none for Deadmines.
This trick is mostly useful for hunters trying to tame the Greater Fleshrippers in Westfall.
Well maybe ure just not a friendly individual. Making friends with randoms doesnt mean youre gonna be friends for life. But my friends list is filled with people I’ve grouped with before and know I can always shoot over a pm and say “hey you down for a run”. Bc I know A. they are cool. B. they would probably be down for a run since they remember me too.
So is mine. The problem is I look at that list and 90% of the people either stopped playing or are vastly different level to me than they were when we grouped. It’s really not a very good solution, at least for leveling.
I’m friendly but most of the time the people have their own things going. Frankly it’s annoying setting up a dungeon only to have someone be terrible and you cannot replace them. There’s no real benefit other than wasting time spamming city chats looking for members to fill an instance with people you’ll rarely see again.
This is a problem I had too, and what I meant in OP when I said adding people whilst levelling is not always a great option as people level at different rates. When I hit 60, someone I was running ZF with was still only 46 for example.
Then keep on moving man. I mean you made friends in high school and some of them are rich on a boat in the bahamas or poor af smoking crack somewhere. Does that mean you stop trucking? No. There’s no LFG button in life. You gotta find new people. Thats socializing.
The game exists in its own space with Classic rules. In the game some things are inconvenient. That’s the way it is. Retail listened to the players who wanted corners cut so they could more quickly get to the part of the game they most wanted to play. Cutting said corners ultimately rendered the game tasteless.
Many of us who lobbied for a return of the vanilla game, wanted it with all the flavor and inconveniences.
You are obviously welcome to wish things were different because it would save you time. But most of us just don’t want to hear it.
Maybe some day Blizzard will change their ‘trust system’ to be account based instead of character based. Until then, there is zero chance I post on anything but this char.
