I don't understand how someone like me will be able to find a group for Fated raids

LFR is automated queue, they don’t need to talk to ppl, they don’t need to discuss anything, they just spam their buttons.

This is the reason I miss Flex from MoP which was just the current Normal but broken into LFR style wings. It was the best of all worlds. Fast and convenient but still required some form of player interaction to make the group.

That still doesn’t fix the other problems I mentioned. I can imagine joining a normal group for Sanctum that fails at Windrunner and the group fails apart and having to do the whole dreadful raid again. That isn’t fun and a lot of people just won’t bother.

That’s how most PUGS are in Raids. Some of them are chatty catty’s but many don’t speak and don’t communicate. When we bring in PUGS all we want is them on Disc to hear callouts.

That’s kind of how you try to play most stuff, honestly. 90% of “communication” is useless clutter.

Sure, but like i said, LFR is automated queue, for normal you have to have higher ilvl, credentials(achievs) and then you have to get lucky to get an invite from the leader after applying to lots of grps.

If normal had an automated queue, it would be less of an issue.
But it’s also a higher ilvl requirement, outdoor content isn’t updated, so they don’t have that to fallback on and grind.

Per short getting into the raid is the issue.

No, lol. Some aren’t even level 60 and even still are classes are very restricted within the guild. Roleplay guilds function very deferently.

You don’t only have one week. There’s going to be multiple rotations and a period of all of them being fated.

Regardless. The point was that both have advantages and disadvantages, the real question is which tradeoff works for each individual.

It is still a week only, since you’ll have to reclear everything if you didn’t finish it the previous week.

I could be wrong but raid completion achievements don’t usually require a full clear in a week. If you clear half on the first rotation and get into a second half group for the second rotation, I expect you’ll get the achievement.

Not always, I’ve found that if you apply to groups that are newly formed you can get in more often than not because the leader just wants bodies at first to make the group more attractive then they get more picky as it fills.

I see groups up all the time that have a very fair iLevel minimum. It also helps if you play a spec or role they want/need obviously. I get into groups under geared all the time on my healers and tanks or even some DPS specs that bring something the Raid leader wants like Gateway for Jailer.

You can extend I believe like any other Normal Raid so you can move at your own pace.

That’s the issue though, this is FATED. so increase difficulty. No one will want bad geared players for that, especially is a bonus reward is around.

I’m talking as opposed to LFR.
You won’t be getting in with 252ilvl, when you need 264+ to actually kill the bosses.

I think Fated will be easier. The Affixes are like the M+ Seasonals and are Kiss/Curse. The positive effects seem very strong at firs glance.

Mythic 0s will drop 262. Low mythic plus is the way to get geared to do fated raids.

Its the same routine every expansion…

I bet there’s going to be a ton of Groups in the Finder come Tuesday and you can get in those groups as a healer even at 252. DPS probably not unless the leader just wants to fill fast.

262 I think for M0 on Tuesday.

Ahh I thought it was 265. either way thats still solid enough to get into normals.

DPS which the majority of them are, will definitely not be getting in with 252 ilvl.
The raid drops 278-285ilvl… you’d need 265+ to actually clear it.

But yes, they could invite 252 ilvl players and then fail to clear it.
That will definitely improve morale.
