lol
Given the horror stories about sitting in queue for LFR for an hour+ I don’t think they’d be all that different.
Do some PVP, get your crafted legendary, finish the Zereth Mortis quest chain and unlock your second legendary item.
Welll could always get better gear then doo the raid.
you know, if everyone on the forums that are complaining about not being able to get into raid groups just made raid groups together, you all could easily get it.
I have no doubt perkypugs will be running friendship cat raids - look up ‘theperkypugs’ on twitter, they do a ton of aotc mount runs too for people of all ilevels and skill.
I wish people would stop using the term “casual” when they dont mean “casually playing WoW” but “only doing open world/solo content”.
Except your term wouldn’t be accurate either as I don’t only do open world/solo content. Casual may not be a very accurate term but it’s the one that most people here use to fit the situation unfortunately.
But if we include being able to raid/m+. Even under a limited amount of time to be deemed “casual”…
Then being “casual” has nothing to do with being able to get into fated raids.
This is where the disconnect comes.
Out of topic, Sepulcher raid participation was on decline. Why?
Look at this Slime Cat, non-raiders even want to raid just becoz of it.
See. The lesson is… Blizz should give mounts so people would do raid.
I didnt do Sepulcher raid becoz there’s nothing in there i want. Now, Season 4 wants me to do it. Good thing, i was KSM.
I’m not sure “the forum outrage of the week” is a very good metric to judge things by.
But you are right that this would be an incentive for some people to raid who might otherwise not have. Which is presumably why they decided to make it Normal+.
QFT
Other than my LFR weapon, I got all mine from ZM and world bosses
Stop being anti-social and join groups?? It’s not hard. Whats the worst thing that can happen? A random person on the internet yells at you for messing up a mechanic? who cares, just get it done.
How to find a group for Fated raids, a tutorial:
Step 1. Obtain enough upgraded unrated PvP gear to bloat your item level to normal raid entry standards.
Step 2. Queue for Normal Fated raids in the Premade Groups section of the /df until you are invited to one.
Step 3. Watch a boss guide. (optional)
Start your own group
run a few low keys like 2-5s maybe even 0s just enough to get your ilvl to where it needs to be.
watch a guide
try to apply to a group
and keep in mind, you can still apply to do LFR you just won’t receive any benefits from it. I’d do this if you want to experience the fights for yourself.
But we don’t though. Just because you can occasionally do group content =/= doing m+ or raiding. There are other more casual group activities like heroic dungeons, unrated PvP etc that are blocked from gear progression by blizz. But they are group content. You can do group content and still be a “casual”.
normal pugs are pretty easy to find
Yeah, they’re going to be very easy, such as everyone is needing a refresher. Take advantage of this, for literally anyone thinking they can’t do normal, you guys have the time to learn next week. everyone is going to be listing their normal Nathria group so try queuing.
But you can raid and do M+ and still be “casual”.
My point is the term always feels…bad.
I don’t use twitter and I hate social media.
Based on the number of times I wanted to pug AOTC mount instead of buying it and seen that for AOTC run people wanted you to already have AOTC, I think you’re right.
But I really hope you’re wrong. Either way, I’m going to try to get the slime cat by pugging.
