I don’t trust Actiblizz to keep their promise about keeping MTXs that weren’t in Classic out of Classic.
They’re launching titles like Blops and Crash Team Racing and then retroactively adding MTX in. It honestly makes me very weary about playing the game because I feel like I’ll get effed by MTX eventually.

Cash shop will be in probably next year. Activision Blizzard is a dishonest company. Remember when they said sharding/layering would just be the starting zones? Now we have it world wide. It probably will never be removed. Just don’t remind the fanboys with facts!
I think it’s a genuine concern though.
I haven’t wanted to say it but their exclusion of certain things screams cash shop to me.
OP my only consolation is they said they wouldn’t so all we have to work with is that.
I think they know mtx is something the Classic community is vehemently against.
I trust that the moment they pull such a boneheaded move, a mass exodus will stampede back to private servers.

Probably because they never actually promised this. At best they used Elwynn Forest and Valley of Trials as an example of why they thought sharding was a good idea(there was no layering yet).

Only time will tell. Depending on what type of MTX they add it would destroy the game. People would leave in max exodus.

Only thing you can trust them for is making money any way possible. And hell yea there will be tokens and pay 50 dollars for an instant lvl 50 by phase 4 ill bet big money on that.

I don’t trust players to not be lazy wankers when they’re buying gold from Chinese farmers. Looks like everyone involved in this enterprise is imperfect in some way.
You can bet that tokens are coming down the line. Probably next year to avoid the bad publicity at launch and to get players hooked before introducing a wildly unpopular feature. A lot of people won’t want to give up their characters they’ve spent months working on just because there are now MTX.
I expect the justification will be gold sellers. Blizzard will wring their hands about sellers and farmers ruining the game. They’ll tell us how it will be fairer, safer, and cheaper for them to handle the transactions themselves. They’ll try to frame themselves as the good guys to cover up the money grubbing.
Meh. If you think they are going to add unarmored mounts to the cash shop then your tin foil hat is on a bit to tight.
