With Cata out, SOD is old news. Were not the new toy anymore.

Probably not until Phase 3. Which is pretty much how it went the last few weeks of phase 1. It’s not end game they will need to adjust as each class gets its own Phase so to speak just due to talents and skills. Unless your a mage… you’ve been doing OK pretty much both phases lol. Hunters too in an aspec.

They had Cata ready to roll out when SoD was announced. It’s not like the devs changed their mind on SoD to make Cata.
Once cata classic launches and all 10 of the people playing it quit they will turn back to SoD.

im 1 of the 10 i guess, and unless ranged hunters get a GIANT boost in damage/power on SoD, I wont be back

Ngl no matter how bad SoD might get, theres 0 chance I play cata, and a lot of my friends share the same sentiment, they’ll just quit SoD and wait for it to get good again.

100% agreed here. Cataclysm was the worst expansion in the history of WoW, and it’s not even close. My entire guild quit the game after having played 30-40 hours a week for YEARS. We went from addiction to instantaneously quitting. Just awful.

They sent out an e-mail survey about a year ago (I think?) that asked “Should we bother doing Cataclysm Classic, or skip head to future expansions?”.
When they have to ask if it’s even worth doing, you know they’re super confident.

Incorrect. They didn’t ask if they should do TBC classic or Wrath classic, because they knew people loved those. Cataclysm is hot garbage.

WoD was the worst expansion at one point, then they made BFA and people were like yep this is gotta be the worst they can’t do any worse than this.
Low and behold Blizzard said hold my beer and Shadowlands was born. The worst expansion made.
