I don't think this is his final form

Zovaals goal is to remake reality and I don’t think having all of the sigils from the pantheon of death is enough to do that.

He would need the power of Life, Death, Order, Disorder, Light, and Shadow. All of the components that actually make reality right?

I don’t have any actual proof of how he would get it but I have been seeing people talk about his portal looking all timey wimey and my personal theory would be that if he is jumping through time is he going to a realm completely dominated by light in the alternate draenor? There’s his way of getting Light.

Also it seems like the Zovaal figured out how to make mournblades without the runecarver when he made Anduins and I assume its what is mind controlling him. If he needs to control disorder, there’s a giant sword sticking out of Azeroth that if fashioned to a mournblade would probably have the capability of controlling its wielder riight???

This is a big stretch I know. BUT I am confident in the fact that he cant reshape reality with just death on his side. Your infinity stones are in another castle Zovaal.

Why do you people still try to theorize where the story is going? Do you have a disappointment fetish? Blizzard has literally been pulling sh*t out of their a$$ in every patch for the last four expansions.

I’ve been theory crafting lore with friends since I was a teenager in wrath. It’s not about being disappointed I was wrong or getting mad it doesn’t go my way. Its about exploring the options with this massive fantasy world. I’m disappointed by The ending cinematic for SoD too but I’m not gonna rain on everyone’s parade who still has interest in the lore.

Sigils of the pantheon only give him control over death (presumably). Gaining the power of the 1st ones seem to be his next objective. His control over the other cosmic powers will more than likely come gaining powers of the 1st ones.

There is a seventh force that is hinted at by the Brokers that either created or organized the other six. It’s likely that it’s the power of the First Ones, a power akin to creation/destruction magic, that apparently can be used to shape reality. If Zovaal claims that power (as it’s implied he can if he breaches the Sepulcher) then all the other planes, all the other pantheons, and indeed all of reality would be at his mercy.

Now I show you my power!!!

I think power was called Fractal. If Fractal is all he needs to control the other aspects of reality it’ll be a short trip. Negatively speaking I wouldn’t be impressed as a player. I would be awesome to actually see these forces collide though.

Enemy of my enemy is my friend type vibes. Would we make a temporary truce with the old gods to stop the Jailer from claiming the void? The light, the burning legion even? Hell even that cliché has been used before.

An interesting take could be something like us fighting the jailer to save Sargaras even though its against our better judgement. Of course I like the idea of us getting pummeled over and over with no hope and we just keep on getting up to continue the fight even though the odds are against us.

The Jailer walking free opens up the story to amazing possibilities.

Now, the Fractal could still be that all powerful force of creation and destruction, but what might be interesting is when we finally reach the realm of the First Ones we come to find out that we are not the only ones out to stop Zovaal.

The rest of creation is bound to have noticed that the machinery of Death has broken down by now, and while not all will know what that means, the force of the Void, Light, and Life might have some insight through Elune. Further if the pier is based on creation and destruction than the pantheons of Order and Disorder might sense it if Zovaal began to try to warp reality.

As such, when we track Zovaal down using the new sigils the Covenants are about to create, we may arrive to find a pitched battle between five armies each trying to stop Zovaal from reaching his goal - and despite this, he could still be winning and making steady progress with the power of Domination.

That would make for a very epic finale to an otherwise somewhat lack luster expansion.

I think after this Cinematic we need to review some old god whispers. I remember something about an arrow. I’ll have to look up what else was said too.

Imagine caring about this in 2021.

Couldn’t be me.

“Six seats at the High Table. Six mouths that hunger. One will consume all others.”

This is a N’Zoth whisper I think we just witnessed.
