I Don't Think The Runecarver Can Be The Primus

1 - They don’t have the same amount of fingers.

2 - Lady Vashj speaks like she knows the Primus, which would mean he disappeared after we offed her in tBC. But he would need to be in Jailer control before WC3 to create the Helm of Domination and Frostmourne.

So unless the Jailer implanted fingers on his hands and sent him back in time, I don’t think the Primus can be the Runecarver.

EDIT: Another reason why the Runecarver shouldn’t be the Primus:

3 - When you first meet the Runecarver you earn an achievement called “The Forgotten One”. Absolutely nobody forgot the Primus.

Runercarver does not even have antler whereas the Primus statue in the Seat of Primus does.

It’s ugly, but it does have two eyes, two ears, a nose and a mouth like the real guy lol

This thread could get interesting

With a thousand sets of eyes on something one is bound to come across such as that.

The point was art doesn’t always imitate life.

The finger argument doesn’t necessarily work when you realize that the jailer has the ability to reshape a persons form.

The giant throne in Maldraxxus, the seat of the primus, also looks super different compared to statues and has 5 fingers, so I have no idea what he’d actually look like.

Eh i’ll still chop it up to Blizzard being inconsistent with the time and models until it’s revealed otherwise.

Who could the runecarver be if not the Primus?

Does he though?

We know he can take pieces of souls and turn them into Shades, but I’m yet to see him transform actual people into things. Sylvanas still looks the same.

And the Primus was a god, the same type of God the Jailer is. Even if the Jailer can reshape people, can he reshape fellow gods? I reckon that would be harder.

And all of that for what? What does the Jailer have to gain by giving the Primus pinkies?

Arthas? Yes im serious.

That’s what I wanna know. Why use the same voice actor, on a character with the same profession, with very similar motifs.

Why create two characters nearly identical to each other that people like Mortis have to point out their fingers to try and prove they’re not the same person.

If I had to bet, I would say he is the REAL Jailer, now emaciated and drained.

And the guy who we think is the Jailer is actually an impostor who stole the Jailer’s powers and appearance because he was chained and couldn’t fight back.

The jailer is more powerful than we could have ever imagined!

In the afterlife, they torture you by jamming fingers on instead of cutting them off?

What do you mean by that?

You sound like you think I am trying desperately to prove that the Runecarver is not the Jailer. I don’t really care much about this. I am just pointing out that they don’t have the same anatomy, so it doesn’t make sense for them to be the same person.

Could they be the same person? Yes. But it doesn’t make sense. But it wouldn’t be the first time Blizzard added nonsense to the game lol

Eh. I don’t buy it. The leaders have had to imprison the jailer once before because he was trying to get out, its perfectly plausible he’d be doing it again. No need to replace him with someone else that’s more evil when the real guy is already an evil d-bag. Only now he’s got Sylvanas and Denathrius as his evil helpful sidekicks, sounds like they’ve done most of the work so far.
