I dont think soloque fill fix anything

The issue is that everyone unsubed due to how bad the expac is so far, having soloque might fix the issues with ques due to the low ammount of players atm, instead they should fix the game to make people come back to it, and for all you trolls I dont wanna hear its only season 1 and that bfa was worse. I will make a follow up post tommorow discussing things that could actually help the game not make it perfect but playable.

Argueably it’ll help prevent carrying of any kind.

The vast majority of people who are interested in playing PVP are unable to because they can’t find a partner(s) that will queue with them all the time. The fact that it takes longer to find people to play with than you can spend playing is a huge problem. My friends that I planned on playing with this expansion won’t queue with me because I am not a paladin. Solo queue would be a dream come true for tons of players.

Uhhhh what’s going on with your “friends” man?

One of them rerolled holy paladin and the other one only queues with the rerolled paladin and a ret paladin so they can get easy wins. Played with them to 1900 and they got to 2000 one night queueing with 2 pallys and now their ego’s too big to queue with me. I stare in LFG channel for hours, find some people I am willing to play with, play 3 games, tank rating, find new people, win 2 games, one of them hits 1800 and leaves bc he doesn’t want to risk losing his future upgrades, find new people, tank 1 game, stare in LFG 1 hour, find new people, win 1 game, they leave no reason, find new people, lose 1 game, back to stare in LFG 3 hours, log off spending entire time staring in LFG. 2 days later: ask old friends to q again, they tell me reroll paladin. I would now also put the apostrophe around the word friends, leave me staring in LFG, wishing for a solo queue.

I queue skirmish against 43k gladiators for their conquest from weekly quest or play with ilvl 160 alts or just 1 shot the enemy ilvl 160 alts, not much fun. we need a rated solo queue. It is so easy to implement and has so many benefits for so many people, there is no reason it shouldn’t be in the game by now. Every other online multiplayer game has a solo queue function with an equivalent of rating tied to it, yet the biggest MMORPG can’t include this? I get that they like the whole social aspect of having to find people to play with but isn’t that what Classic wow is for? for spending an hour finding people to do a dungeon without using LFG tool?

Soloque and closing gear gap! That solves everything.

Oh yeah I def agree that solo que would be a amazing right now just thinking they should fix the game so people dont unsub.

I’d do rated if there was a solo queue. Most games with a competitive mode have it.

It removes a barrier to entry which frankly shouldn’t be there.

How?

Unless they separated it into solo que vs solo que and groups vs groups, it would actually make it worse. All those R1 guys doing carries would now be quing into solo que people at low rating and carry even easier. If they seperated the ques it could help sure, but I don’t see them doing that as it would absolutely skyrocket the que times for arenas. No one wants to sit in 15min ques for arena games that often last only a couple minutes. That would kill arenas faster than anything IMO. Imagine quing for arenas for an hour and only actually playing 4 games. Don’t see many people doing that for very long.

To clarify, I am not arguing against solo que. It’s a solid idea that should be a thing. Just saying I don’t think it’ll do anything about carries.

Soloq would fix everything. That’s it.
How would ques be longer if more people would play with soloq implemented? That doesn’t make sense.
There could be 1 ladder but soloq teams would play vs soloq and premades would play vs premades. Carries would be completely eliminated if you q via soloq…
Carries would play vs other carries if they qued as premade.
This game has such potential and it’s simply wasted…

World of warcraft is a social game at its core. Social skills is an extremely important thing. It’s why wow was so successful early on and why it will never be a good competitive esport. People really need to stop fantasizing about WoW’s competitve scene because its actually one of the most casual scenes in the gaming industry.

Hey lookie there you answered your own question literally in the next sentence LOL.

If they make it two ladders it would necessarily increase que times… obviously. At least for the group ladder, perhaps the solo que would be similar que times, but of course if you take out all the solo quers group que times would skyrocket. And that I don’t see them doing. All the arena guys who’ve played for years already have arena partners, so for them this would essentially just kill arenas as their que times would be insane.

You pretty much answered yourself as well. Let me rephrase…
If there was soloq the overall pool of players doing pvp would grow drastically because of the ease of access. This by itself would shorten q times (at least for solo q)
Another point- finding partners via lfg takes LONG “minutes” to an hour/ hours- do you take that time into account?
The only people who might complain might actually be the ones with already established group of people they q with. They do not use lfg anyway, would play against other coordinated groups made of friends. Could not sell carries nor train casuals not using voice, grouping via lfg.
Here is the question- do you want to leave things as they are to please the 1% of players who play for the last 15 years or do you actually want to invite new players and grow as a game.
I myself started wow last year, wanting to pvp. I got my 1800 quite easily and would love to push higher, but I can’t, I want to play the game, not look for people to play the game.
Edit:
If the premade groups had super long q times because almost everyone preferred to soloq, then who cares, almosy nobody likes playing premade groups anyway

Oh my, youre god damn right.

This would only kill the game for people who have partners already and streamerse who can’t adapt… boo hoo. They’re the minority. For everyone else it would revitalize this dead game. Stop using this as an excuse in 2021 can’t you see that the game is dead.

Sounds like a lot of pallys in these forums tbh

Solo queue will fix ppl using LFG like its solo queue and that’s all it needs to do.

Even if matchmaking paired equal geared teams ppl would blame meta sprcs for failure

If matches were mirrors ppl would blame match making

Solo Q would hurt the game if it were to be it’s own bracket.

It would be nice if it tied into the preformed brackets though.
