They need to be punished for longer fights with mana. Had a MW monk in the longest teamfight for about 6 minutes, and he ended the fight at about 75% mana. Whats even the point of having mana at this point?
no we dont , dont blame us because your team cant interrupt n focus heals
/thread
It has nothing to do with that at all. No healer should leave a 7 minute team fight (that they lost mind you with the healer running) at 75%
The fight was 6min but did you do 6min worth of dam
No, we were all spamming our single action buttons wearing unenchated greens…
seems like a skill issue
Never judge true balance by random bgs. Players have access to various bg specific buffs, consumables etc. not to mention dps are typically uncoordinated, overlapping cc, etc. and also there’s no dampening.
As a result healers seem like live lords in bgs.
Part of the issue is not “healers mana” in general, certain classes absolutely have stupid abilities to restore tons of mana: Evokers with disintegrate and MW with mana tea as examples.
Whereas priests, Druids and most shamans seem to have a lot more issues with mana because they don’t have much in the way of abilities to restore mana on the regular.
This is why I love playing destro. Healer mana doesn’t matter. What matter is can they cover my 3-4 chaos bolt soulfire shadowburn combos without anyone dying? Most can’t, especially if I sprinkle a little cc on top for extra razzle dazzle
Current design doesn’t really revolve around healers running oom. The only healer I’ve noticed that has somewhat consistent mana issues in long fights is priests, but even they have tools to avoid it if they’re good.
The basic goal is to do so much damage in a small window you gimp the healer and someone dies, OR do a ton of damage and force their CDs then quickly swap and kill someone else while the healer can’t cover them. You will almost never win by running the healer dry.
either got a leaf / had a drink or you guys don’t do damage
They need to tone down AoE damage / healing. Triaging / target switching should matter again.
More durable than senator armstrong guys never forget.
Basically if your class isn’t tuned like ret or mm right now then you will never do enough to make a healer uncomfortable.
I think it still does in anything outside of epics. If I see someone pop a major defensive, I swap to something else.
I wanna see the damage charts for your team after that fight. Must have been awful
Unless I was that MW monk, then nvm. makes perfect sense
So let me get this right….it took your team over 6+ minutes before you decide to kill him?
So let’s punish the healers because my team is dumb? Did I get this thread right?
Keep being disingenuous and misrepresenting just about every single argument everyone has ever made about healers.
“Healers can’t possibly ever be the problem, so it must be a you problem!”
Could be a dps AND/OR a healer problem. It’s almost never just one side or the other.
Keep pretending only poor dps have long fights, while I go watch Mes participate in them regularly, and any game under 4 mins is considered “effing fast” (his words).
The point of this thread is that healers shouldn’t have infinite sustain and should EVENTUALLY run out of mana without requiring half a season to go by. Otherwise just remove mana at this point.
You just told us you watched a healer freecast for over 6mins. Why didn’t you just kill him?
Good dps don’t have issues with healers. That’s a fact. Has nothing to do with me or anything I say. If your a bad dps you are gonna struggle against healers. That’s all there is to this
I agree. That said, first, number of healers really should be matched in BGs, especially epic BGs.
Yes, I like this very much. I would love toning down of AoE damage and cc for that matter…
