Wait! They’re Elf people?
For some reason I thought they were part of the Stromgarde/Arathor nation from generations ago who just fell down a hole and couldn’t get out, then they named themselves after the zone they came from.
The Arathi are a race of half-elves serving the greater Arathi Empire. They are the descendants of the humans of the original Arathor Empire and of the high elves of Quel’Thalas who joined them to teach them magic. They now consider themselves neither humans nor elves, just Arathi.[1]

I think this is their way of adding more Half Elves to make them playable. Because originally, Half Elves were rare and not very accepted. But people wanted them playable. So I expect an Arathi Allied Race for the half elf fans.

Not too sure where their home is. Might be revealed during Midnight as it sounds close to Eversong Forest if we’re considering the lynx. 
At some point. you’ll have to try our Imperial Wine! It’s made with grapes from the priory, and is heated with the sacred flame.
We only drink it on special occasions, so just drinking it is enough to conjure thoughts of good times.

I was young when we left, but I have some memories.
I remember the parades through the city streets, everyone would be out and cheering as the army walked by. I remember the lynxes in ceremonial armor, resplendent and regal.
I remember the park near where I used to live, my parents would take me for walks there, and we’d feed the animals.
Most of all though, I remember the feeling of belonging. I remember my family. I remember my friends.

I wonder if they’ll keep with the standard human model or if they’ll also use the blood elf model. Because we know that Alleria and Turalyon’s (spelling) kid is a half-elf. He’s used the blood elf model because they didn’t have a half-elf model, but it would be interesting.
(Although the forums would have a field day with yet another blood elf looking race. Lol)
Not sure! It’ll be weird if they change Arator’s model, though.

For NPC models, there will probably be a range with some of them looking more like their elf heritage and some more human. If they make it a player allied race, we will probably not have as many choices.

Med’an isn’t widely hated due to being a hybrid. He’s hated because he’s an all-powerful Gary Stu due to his heritage. He’s a Shaman, Paladin, and a Mage due to his genetics. That makes no sense. Draenei, Orcs, and Humans, are not born Paladins, Shamans, or Mages respectively.

They are a human kingdom. These are the branch of Arathi humans that got stuck underground with High Elves and interbreeding happened.

Nope. This is a portion that split off ages ago. Think of it kind of like Nelfs and Belfs or Nelfs and Nightborne.
