I don’t know how to explain it but I just do not enjoy Mountain Thane. Please revert the unneeded nerfs to Slayer so I’m not forced to play it.
huh ? they are both viable
No offence but I’ve seen you post all over the place and I do not take anything you say seriously.
no offense taken , my answer still stands
People are going to tell you that you aren’t “forced” to do anything
but yeah, if thane is categorically better than slayer on all fronts, then what’s the point?
even if blizz legit thinks the aoe was out of hand (it wasn’t) then at least give slayer some single target so that thane doesn’t completely outclass it.
its not.
Thane just has some mythic+ viability. Everything else slayer is better.
Not right now, though it did get nerfed for no reason and is weaker than Thane in M+ by far, and that’s what I focus on so I don’t want to have to play something I don’t like for my spec to be viable. Come Oct 22, Slayer will be worse in every aspect because Blizzard hates Warrior DPS this expack for some reason.
What’s even more annoying is I can’t just swap to Arms either, since Slayer is shared and Arms needs crit, while Fury doesn’t want crit so it’s not easy to swap specs.
Maybe instead of complaining about what you’re “forced to play” when you’re not even doing the content it even matters for.
Why don’t you find another spec/hero talent that more suits your taste, or maybe find a new game?
And slayer is still behind every other class. #thanksblizz
Simply reroll because the devs can’t do their jobs. That definitely encourages them to do better. Don’t trip over your clown shoes on the way out the door bud.
That doesn’t make them wrong. You’re not forced to play anything. If you’re not having fun than try something else.
Its always weird players that don’t do high end content complaining about how they can’t play their preferred spec when they 100% could.
Mountain Thane is now at least a viable option for Fury in M+, but if you like Slayer you’ll still be fine on Slayer.
The difference between slayer and mountain thane is small in m+. I wouldn’t worry about it.
You may not like it, but it’s the correct mindset to have when playing a MMO. Don’t fall into the silly mindset of FOMO and “meta”, there are so many options to choose from to customise your experience to a certain extent and not be trolling performance wise.
Being overly dramatic when a hero talent tree got justifiable buffs to bring two options closer so players can have a choice in what they play in different content types is a good thing. Slayer was not nerfed to unviability, it’s still the go to for certain damage profiles.
If you’re not enjoying the playstyles present, then yes reroll or find a different game to play that you’ll enjoy more.
It’s your money being spent after all, why bother spending money on something that is not fun?
Here’s the harsh reality, people are too addicted for their own good and don’t see when they’re due to take a break from the game for their own mental health.
Don’t worry big fella, I’m used to these size 12s. Such is the curse of massive flippers.
Cop out excuse for bad game design and an out-of-touch developer team. You’re right. I’m spending money on a now broken product. Should I be punished because I’ve mained one character to experience the game with? Or should the producer do their job correctly and not push players away from their game?
That’s not what a producer does. They may have some minor influence, but a producer mostly looks at spreadsheets, plans with multipe dependencies (Art, Audio, Engineering, QA, etc.), and ensures projects are completed at specific times.
Designers are the ones you have qualms with.
It aint really a cop out it’s reality.
Some of my own experiences with the game, since I’ve been playing it since wrath, raided the highest difficulty raid tiers since Dragon Soul and I’ve seen many iterations of warrior over the years. Over this time I’ve also had breaks from the game when visiting family overseas for months at a time.
Now for me personally some spec gameplay elements that I’ve enjoyed over others weren’t always the ‘meta’ and some that I disliked and only played it for prog and then left that spec in the dust entirely for farm.
A more recent example, while some people enjoyed Fury in DragonFlight I was bored playing it already in Shadowlands, since it was the exact same raging blow spam nonsense we had been dealing with for multiple expansions in a row and the gameplay got stale.
So while I generally played the better spec for the fight on prog, post that? I’ve always gone for what’s “fun” assuming it’s not entirely trolling the raid team, while still doing well enough.
Even this very moment, I’ve enjoyed Colossus more than Slayer or Thane, so i did all my DPS keys as Arms Colossus, achieved all 10s in time, alongside completing some keys on 11s.
So yes, if the product you deem is broken do not purchase it or waste your time with it. As time is precious and is something you never get back so make sure you spend it doing stuff you enjoy or working torwards improving yourself or those around you who you care about. This game is nothing more than a distraction, a form of entertainment. If you are not entertained, look for that entertainment elsewhere.
Here’s the thing, sadly not everyone that designs games actually plays the games or understands the intricacies of the game’s interaction with the player and the game.
If a production team is doing a poor job of player retention they should not have a playerbase backing them at all.
Respect your own time is what I’m saying at the end of the day. By all means complain about what you dislike about a certain playstyle and the weird inconsistencies that make it not fun to play in a constructive manner. But when you’re complaining about FOMO or being “forced” you need to take a step back and re-evaluate your time playing said game.
Yup I okay mountain thane right now even when slayer is ahead. Don’t care I like thane better the content I do don’t matter and is true for 90% of the people
Not this issue here. The issue is that our devs have a pretty big misunderstanding of what our class needs to function properly. Nerfing one while buffing another to bring them in line is not a fix. Particularly when BOTH are still the laughing stock of single target scenarios.
Well, i like it. So… nyah!
So thane is a little more usefull in higher keys because things last longer, it might be better on council, other fights still prefer slayers burst.
Both are still viable, one becomes better at very specific things.
That is what you are crying over.
