I love the playstyle, but one of the most important aspects of playing an MMO for me is the fashion. I want to look cool while I play the game. I am forced into using the few options in the barber, and some shoulder pads. If you are going to force us into this form, then there should be 20-30 options added for each armor.
I really don’t care if you are a dragon enthusiast and want to spout out how we are meant to be our true dragon selves. Yeah that’s great, go play on a RP server where people really care so much about that. I want to look cool like everyone else in the game.
We pay a lot of money to play this game, new content is added all the time, classes are tuned frequently, new armor sets added in constantly. We even get some of those armor sets that look absolutely amazing, but cant even see it in our dragon form.
I am DONE playing this stupid class until they give us more. I’m so sick of logging into this character and wanting to play it only to look at my dumb dragon body without anything cool. I’M DONE.

You and every non healer druid since the launch of Vanilla. If they don’t fix it for the boom chickens and the bear tanks and kitty dps then I highly doubt they will for the dragons
that’s why I gave up on my druid years ago.
At least there’s that option that auto turns you into the human form when leaving combat for dracthyr xD
I’m given to understand the algorithm they use to wrap the armor skins to the character models can in fact be used for transmogs and Dracthyr. That Drac doesn’t have transmog options is largely arbitrary, and mostly simply a dev choice (which is to say a couple armors’d be scuffed with the Drac dimensions, but most of them work fine as is). Their armor wrap algorithm’s for the most part really quite good, and using it we probably could have even had Naga years ago. For an example of exactly how it works, look at the 3D model viewer on wowhead.
Short and sweet - they probably will get transmog options eventually. It’s ironically easier than you might think, particularly given the feet dragging about it.

I get why some people want to stay in visage form with evoker, I disagree but I get it. My opinion has always been if you don’t want to be a dragon, cat, bear, chicken ect then there are other classes that do pretty much the same thing as it. Don’t wanna be a dragon? Play a Mage, Priest or Warlock. Don’t want to be a cat? Play a Rogue. Don’t wanna be a bear? Play a Warrior. Now transmog should be fixed for sure as long as they let you separate visage from dragon when transmogging. The Dracthyr as a whole feel very incomplete, Soaring could be way better, emotes and voices seem broken, the fact they are missing Shaman, Monk, Druid and arguably Death Knight seems lazy.

I only play aug because it’s the support spec and the rotation is kinda enjoyable. If they added a bard I’d swap to that in a heartbeat and love to actually make a fun bard transmog I can actually see in combat.
Honestly, my two biggest hopes for Evoker are -
- For all that is good and positive in the world, make Pres play a little more leveled out. It is super, super giga-bursty. It gets stressful at times to have your party’s HP rubber-band the way the spec has it.
- Aug tank, por favor. If you’re not down with it being a support the way it was billed, tank would be way, way better. Yeah, I know, easier to have it set up as DPS, but it’s simply not as good a concept as either support or tank. I dunno about ya’ll, but in my mind thinking of Deathwing, I immediately think “tank”. Ditto with earth magic!
I’ll settle for Aug not being cheeks if it must be a DPS, and making Pres just a hair more accessible.

With the exception of druids* unless you main resto.
What the race needs is the same work they put into druids when they give them new forms every now and then. For us, we need new barbershop armor options and colors.
Also, I do think the bare minimum is for our tier sets to also be fit into our dragon bodies… The specific armor made specifically for your class… But I get it if their bosses do not allow them time to actually make this happen to focus on other things…
Ugly stepchild class with pointlessly short range, a broken (in a bad way) spec, no glyphs after years, and strange restrictions on appearance despite having more options than any other race.
I still love it though because I love being a dragon, having Soar, and breathing fire/ice. Flawed, but still awesome.
Nothing beats hovering while using Disintegrate, that and Soaring keep me playing my dragon.

I just sort of compartmentalize being in combat as a ‘shapeshift.’ akin to a druid. I have plenty of things to pay attention to in combat, so the only time I worry about my Evoker’s (flamboyant and sexy) appearance is when I’m not fighting anything.
what a terrible opinion wow

Blizzard needs to allow full transmog with Dracthyr and then just add our barber options as racial armor options.
There is ZERO excuse for Dracthyr not being able to showcase their armor. Visage is NOT an acceptable replacement.
I don’t care if they have to redo our model rigging from the ground up.
Dataforazeroth currently pegs Dracthyr as 4.7% of max level population. That puts us at 6th place for race popularity! And this is despite how new the race is AND people complaining about being ‘skinny lizards’ or whatever; Dracthyr are actually very popular!
Just. DO IT. BLIZZARD.
PLEASE.

Dracthyr are popular for the racials, and the visage appearance. Most non-evokers you see are just running around in their visage 100% of the time.
Having an extra stop, the ability to just nope all knockbacks, the extra mobility of glide in general, and out of combat raid health regeneration (at least before they added recuperate) is very useful for some classes. It’s one of the best races for priest for glide alone.

I’m aware that the racials are a factor in their popularity, and I’m also aware some Dracthyr just stay in visage form. But I still see a lot who stay in Dracthyr form, and there’s just not excuse for not giving Dracthyr proper full body transmog. I mean, I can see limiting cloaks due to our wings, but really that’s it.

Not to detract from the point, because yeah absolutely Dracthyr need better transmog options in lizard-form…
But I rerolled my priest as a Dracthyr specifically for Glide. Feathers/Body and Soul are 40% increases. Glide’s a 43% increase. If I have to upgrade gear and lose my Speed stat (or feathers are simply on CD), I mash glide.
Lol wait your turn. Druid have this issue since game was launched of anyone have to right to complain it should be druid.
The key difference here is for druids is that bear and cat are four legged non-humanoid forms so you can’t really make tmog work the same; it would be a huge undertaking to customize all appearances to work with a bear or cat form. Resto it’s a non-issue and boomie has a glyph to allow them to shift into an astral form instead of owlkin.
Evokers literally have no option while in combat to see their tmogs, they are also already humanoid so no real rework needed there. The argument is clipping might make some sets look funny, but if you talk to pretty much any evoker they would settle for a few wonky pieces of gear clipping through horns, wings, etc. and if they reallllly hate it they wouldn’t pick sets that do that.
