I am in the mountain time zone and noticed my server is east coast and the times dont work well for me. How do I find out what realms are on mountain time/ and are closer to my server? Everything I’m finding online is rather ambiguous because of potential “server merges”. Thanks
Nevermind I found where it states the time zone directly off Blizzard’s site. Now to just pick a server.
Did you end up picking a server Eldest? (you don’t have to say which one btw) I hope you have a great time playing yo.
It is important to note that time zones have not always been static for servers. (This is especially true when connected realms are involved.)
So, as part of your search, I’d check out a realms forums and see what the “normal” times are for the various raid guilds to get a better sense of peak hours for a given server.
I am still having trouble because apparently certain servers are connected to either L.A or Chicago. I am trying to optimize my ping because my internet is not the best (I live in a rural area) . So I’m to the point where I’m just going to connect to the different realms and conduct a ping test which will help narrow my search.
This list is still pretty good to find the data centers:
The time zones listed are sometimes off with some of the connected realms.
