So, I’ve been playing world quests on this toon and not getting any renown with Loamm. The tooltip says I need a quest from Elder Honeypelt. I looked up this npc and went to the two places on the map he’s supposed to be but he’s not there (he does occasionally appear in the talking head box to give me a world quest that gives zero rep) At this point this part of the expansion is almost over but it’s been frustrating that I can’t figure this out and just want to at least get the renown open at this point even though I’ll never finish it.
EDIT: Okay I think I figured it out. I still had to complete two more quests on Forbidden Reach to get to “The Land Beneath” But none of he web references I looked up made that clear. I just got lost in the quest spaghetti. But the comments here helped. Thanks.
You also need to have done Forbidden Reach, and also the first 4 chapters of the Caverns story campaign.
You will get rep doing the 4 chapters, but to be able to get the rep from the WQ’s you need to complete the 4th chapter to open the WQ rep.

What is really weird is that you can get the weekly quest “A Worthy Ally: Loamm Nifflen” for “earning” 1500 rep and you can complete it but you still have zero renown.
I’m looking at “Embers of Neltharion” Questline Wowpedia and it says this is the order to get to the “Smells like Loam” quest, however the two quests I’m on in my log for this campaign are not in the list below:
Okay I’ve not finished that on this alt. Would have been nice to know this 2 months ago. I was able to open the caverns and I’ve been doing quests there thinking I would eventually stumble upon the correct one.
You do not have to do the entire FR quest line. Just talk to the 2 NPC, the first 2 that the Loamm campaign sends you to forbidden reach for. You can then talk to both, and use the second dialog option to skip everything from both NPCs.
The first is the dracthyr NPC offering the forbidden reach questline up behind Alexstrasza atop the Seat of the Aspects tower. The second is right in front of you after you do the first skip.
Unfortunately, if you have done part of the campaign the skip might not be option any more (I’m not sure, but that seems to be the pattern in DF with skips).
If you did FR campaign on a different character, there should be a skip option from the first Drak you are to talk to when sent there for the Embers of Neth campaign. Then the nest one on the cliff above the hub should let you skip all of the FR campaign, then you go back to Valdrak and start the rest of the Embers quest line.
I didn’t skip the first one because I started it before ZC dropped. I collected all of the 395 gear from FR and a ring. Maybe I just need to finish up there?
EDIT: Okay I think I figured it out. I still had to complete two more quests on FR to get to “The Land Beneath” . That sent me to the quests at the top of the water fall to bury the hero’s ashes. I don’t think there’s an option to skip anything until my Main is maxed, which she isn’t yet.
