Sounds like a countryism of the word.

Shay-men is a pokemon. Sha-men.

Most Americans pronounce it Shah-muhn. If you’re British it’s pronounced more like Shay-men.

If you are dicussing Eastern shamanism in a real life conversation, use that pronunciation. If it relates to the game, use the one that’s been identified in the fantasy world.
