Between a full time job and a newborn baby I am lucky to play 1 day a week now. And you know what? I wouldn’t change a thing.
The game shouldn’t be changed for people like me, it should be for the people who wanted Classic WoW like it was in 2006. I was there back then too and it’s perfect the way it is now.
I will have more time to play one day, but I love the moments when I do get a chance to play. The zones, questing, dungeons are exactly the way they should be.
Never change it because “I don’t have time to play anymore!”
It’s a sad day but the silver lining is at least you are adult enough to realize you do not have the time you wish to dedicate to this. It’s scary how many people put off real life (even ignoring children to the point CPS is called) just for a video game…
OP on the plus side, Borderlands 3 is out and it’s AMAZING! And you can consume that game at your own pace as it has single player mode. Pause n walk away
Soon enough the little one will no longer be awake every 30mins-3 hours each night and you will be able to instead trade the balance of the lost sleep that you’re getting used to into more free-time after the kiddo goes to bed.
Sure, you’ll need the baby monitor on and nearby, but getting a few hours in a couple nights a week is doable, even if you do work the next day. Kids between the age of 6mo and 3 years sleep a LOT compared to adults.
This is one of the reasons I don’t want kids. No free time or you spend all of your free time doing what they want to do. I just don’t see the appeal of raising a kid.
Eh, I have 2 with a 3rd inc and I get me time. It’s all about planning it out and you give your spouse downtime and they do the same for you. It’s not as bad as people make it out.
I need at least 2 hours a day to do my thing to unwind. Right now I work 4am to 1230pm and my wife doesn’t get home until 630pm. I get about 5 hours to do whatever I want and when she gets home all of my attention goes to her unless she wants her space.
This is actually sound advice. At about 4-6 months (it varies) they will start sleeping through the night… mostly!! Then it’s primetime. I’m retired, but have to get up at 7am to get my 5yo off to school. Once the kids go down, 7-8pm, then it’s my time till midnight.

I read this and immediately red flags went up in my mind.
We actually see a fair number of posts that take the format, “I"m a casual/new player/low level/player-without-much-time to play, and I agree with [insert elitist casual stereotype copypasta here]”
I assume these are posts of forum alts of elitist raiders who keep a second account for the purpose of trolling the forums without getting outed to their main’s guild.
