It’s cool seeing all the different armor and weapons again instead of everyone transmogging over them or using the same heirlooms.

You can still do that by equipping those items. How it should be 
What you have on should be what is displayed.
It was a vital part of this game. Also it was something you considered before attacking an enemy. You would know what they are wearing. It added a sense of excitement and danger. Something that was lost as part of the game immersion.

Will be missing it soon though, I’m sure. Lot of fairly ugly gear in this game, imo. Lot of great gear too! But loooot of ugly…

Mail armour is generally HORRIBLE, no matter what version of the game we are playing.

I really thought I’d miss transmog - more than anything else, really. To my surprise, though, I really dont care. Its actually kind of cool to see at a simple glance what folks are actually wearing.
There’s a sort of impoverished kinship felt when a party member and I are wearing the same statless white helmet!

Transmog ruined the game. It removed an important RPG aspect to it and was part of the streamlining of WoW.
You can of course disagree however lets rejoice that it isn’t here and it makes the game better.

Playing Wildstar, with their ability to change the color scheme of any piece of gear collected and to use it like Transmog, man that system was awesome. Being able to make your character always look good was great.

No, it really didn’t. Transmog is not the worst transgression this game has committed, and it is BY FAR overshadowed by other more heinous crimes.

Can we still hide the helmet in Classic, or did that come later?
Transmog was one of the best things they ever did for the game. Being able to make my character look the way I wanted did wonders for RP and building a connection with my character.
That being said, I would never want to add it to Classic.
