I don’t care how long it takes. No expansion will be good until there’s a permanent, usable fourth pillar

Bro, I play this game to socialize with people and make friends, if there was an end game system that supported solo play that had a vault system or was in any way lucrative to gearing your character that would just be yet another thing that i would need to grind out and take away from my time playing with my friends why the hell would people be fighting for this in an MMORPG. I absolutely hated torgast for this reason because it rewarded playing solo and the balance for priests in there was horrible for the first two seasons. I’m enjoying the heck out of this expansion I have no idea why rant posts like this keep getting recommended to me on google.

That’s the thing though; You don’t have to do it. You do the things you want to do.

I love PvP now, I don’t do anywhere near as much M+ or Raiding as I used to because I don’t currently enjoy it. But I wouldn’t wish those two activities to go away just because I don’t like them.

Judging by your armory, you’re very active as an M+ runner and Raider. Which I commend. You’ve got great gear, your mog is kickin’(Beside the point, just wanted to mention), and you’ve even dipped your toes into Mythic Vault, downing two bosses.

But you’re honor level 6. You’re clearly not much of an active PvPer. Meaning your weekly vault just about never has PvP rewards. A fourth “solo” pillar would be no different to ignoring PvP.

I think OP and those that are likeminded would be better off lobbying for Blizzard to make a solo RPG game franchise set in the WoW universe. Hell, I’d play something like that too.

Torghast was mandatory because you couldn’t get legendaries without it. If it was simply an additional gear progression path its not mandatory any longer.

Its a MMo, multi massive… and anyway this xpac you can get 390 ilvl without doing any group stuff like m+ or raid, so its not “group or die”.
You can solo farm mount, solo farm toys, solo quest, solo level 10000000 toons… you imagination is just stopping at what you see others doing. I play 75% of the time solo, and 24% pugin, and i still enjoy the game a lot.
I feel like YOU want a whole solo game, which doesnt represent the whole community of wow. They even included a SOLO shuffle pvp bracket for solo people, you ask for too much man.
Diablo would be a better game for you, or even all PS and Xbox games. #sorrynotsorry

Lol my guy its an mmo why you out here on some crazy mission get a grip

Wow a MASSIVE MULTIPLAYER ONLINE game is geared towards group content? Crazy. What an absolute door knob

I think he means that dungeons and raids went from massive 40-man multi-hour endeavors with a high KWTD-bar, to 25man super-zerg speedruns. I remember doing old school Blackwing Lair back in the day, man, and Molten Core, that took a special kind of coordination, and you had better have cleared your whole afternoon for that, because you were going to be there for a WHILE. The old mega dungeons like BRD, where it was as much an exploration as it was a fight. Nowadays, stuff is built for the M+, which, while a mechanic I enjoy, just feeds into the “Go, go, go!” blitz playstyle. (more on that later)

Nowadays, seems like everyone’s got DBM or whatever, the KWTD bar has turned from the healthy “there are mechanics we need to learn and do, where did we screw up that last run? Let’s try this instead.” to a toxic gatekeeping, and it’s gone from enjoying the raid and taking some time to stop and smell the roses into “Zerg, Zerg, go, go, go!” Anyone who fought KJ in Tomb of Sargeras at ANY level knows exactly what I’m talking about. That fight was a guild breaker, and forget even TRYING to pug it. The entire expansion people couldn’t get his fight down, and the amount of groups I saw explode and disintegrate in “f#$& you idiots, I’m out of here”…As for the desire to sprint content to the finish line, as the Pandaren say, “Slow down.”

It’s kind of sad that the only time I see game play reminiscent of those older days, people talking about the encounters, trying different placements, figuring it out and honestly playing the game, talking, laughing, wiping and winning with friends, is only during the world first races, which, while enjoyable to watch, is IMO a part of the problem. It’s a healthy game play style and ideal, but it is built as, and is ultimately still, a race to the finish.

Go into LFG, most groups won’t even look at you without AOTC, and feature KWTD in their group name. Like, that’s why we’re in LFG, to learn what to do. I’m in a PvP guild, we don’t do a lot of progression raiding, so when I go each week to do my raids, just getting into a group is a saga in and of itself. Last time I got AOTC was Legion I think, I’d have to log in and check. There’s not much of a drive to teach the game and really enjoy it, people just want to “get it done”

Housing. Literally every other game like wow has it. It is referred to as the true end game of it’s biggest competitor Ffxiv. With this revamp to the profession system they could have EVERYONE farming endless content by putting blueprints for craft able housing items across all their expansions. Do it community style like FF does it so that you don’t people holed up as much. Even RuneScape sort of has it in the form of guild halls. Which is my 2nd suggestion. Guild halls that can be built up in the same way housing could. But the new crafting system is just too good a rework to not utilize and maximize on something like housing. There’s no excuse for it anymore. It used to be “we have way more players we can’t support it”. Well what’s the excuse now that FFXIV has more players? If not even numbers? RuneScape? People want this and I PROMISE YOU the data supports hundreds to THOUSANDS of hours of people decorating and redecorating and farming to outfit their houses in ffxiv, tor and eso.

Maybe don’t play an MMO if you don’t feel comfortable grouping up to play?

You do understand what MMORPG stands for right? Go play a singleplayer game you idjit

But it’s and MMORPG…

ffxiv has an amazing housing set up. Vack when I played I remember spending a TON of time in the guild house. I would love to see something like this in wow.

What do you do with that other 1%?

It’s an MMO, group or die.

“But what about X game?”

Games with a fraction of the WoE player base need bots so people can solo content because the game doesn’t have enough players. If I or anyone else wanted to play those games we wouldn’t be playing WoW.

Blizz just needs to start banning any and all forum topics asking for, demanding or even discussing adding bots and/or making solo content.

FFXIV has NPCs you can do dungeons with and their playerbase is around the same size as WoW’s (if not bigger at this point, actually)… so… not quite sure if what you claim is an actual fact, just saying.

Nao é preciso haver nada !! É por causa da blizzard dar muita atencao com pessoas como voce que o jogo acabou ficando ruim !! Pessoas que entram esporádicamente que mal conhece o jogo e suas mecanicas e querem vir em forum reclamar !!

WoD was a solo player’s dream… The garrison gave you access to massive amounts of gold, heroic and mythic raid loot, exclusive heirlooms, transmog items, the crafting system let you master any profession with no help and your mini army even helped you craft daily locked mats…

If you thought WoD was “group or die” then you need to find a game bud. I played that entire X-Pac on my own - the only groups I played in were group finder groups and I was still decked out in mythic gear having never stepped into one. Shadowlands was also ridiculously easy… I maxed out everything in like 4months. I did do SOME mythics in Shadowlands tho - I was fine even without it tho.

I recommend SWTOR if you want an MMO that’s heavy ok story/solo content. It’s a great game for solo-oriented players. Good Luck.

No, it doesn’t. WoW has nearly a million more active players. Easily tracked via the mmo-population website. FF XIV had to add bots to even get that population in the first place and they still can’t beat WoW. Again, anyone who wants those features needs to unsub and go play those games.

If you think that site is actually accurate then I have nothing else to say here haha
