This event gave me a large epiphany that this quantity of drops and drop rates is how it should be all the time. There’s no reason for only 2 items per dungeon boss or 4-6 items per raid boss in legacy content. It actually felt enjoyable to do collector runs during this event and I have no interest in doing them at all after the event is over.

Well tbf, transmog runs became more bearable after they made the Tier Pieces warbound and that every class could learn the transmog regardless of type or class.
The mounts though? yeah, theres no reason people should be taking over a literal decade to obtain some of these.

Most people probably don’t do it outside of the doldrums of a patch/expansion. When everything else is done, seasonal goals either reached or written off, and alts have lost their luster. That’s when mount/achievement stuff gets done a lot more.
Me either, everything dropped.
More drops means more gold coming into the economy. May have something to do with it.
You’re not wrong. After the years and years of farming 1% drops, seeing the drop rate increased felt so good. I’m grateful for it. But I’ll probably still farm some of the loose ends anyway cuz why not?
